Well, Ravicale hyped this game until it was dry, on the forums of course. I for one was really excited for this game. To be honest I have never played or even heard about GrandQuest before I read his Hype thread about it. I am really glad I read it too, or I would have never played it. Besides Ravicale, I was the first to view this game just minutes after it was released. Well let us see if it was worth the play.

Well, let us just say yes, it really was worth the time. The game really just throws you, the player, straight into the action. It is very fast-paced and the enemies are tough to beat. With a constant flow of Snarley's and Thor's the game can get pretty frustrating. I started to play hesitantly at first and thought that the gracious amount of cookies were kind of a turn-off to the health placement, making it fairly easy. Yet after dying numerous amount of times I started to become anxious and played through more fiercely and took the health drops as gifts and enjoyed them gratefully. There was great use of the burst tile, and it was used for excellent puzzles throughout the game.

Second, this game is HUGE! Yup, CRAZY HUGE! So much love and detail went into designing the game. The first couple of attempts I made I tried to run straight through the game which was a mistake. After I made that conclusion to myself, I explored more of each level. There sure is a lot of Easter eggs! I doubted the hype thread on that, but I sure was wrong! Ravicale would probably flame me if I give anything away so I guess you would have to see for yourself!

The story was pretty interesting, like I said before I have not been involved in this series, so I didn't have a clue what the story line was. This game did do a good job of filling in the on the story but it could have went into more detail on what went down on the previous games. By the time I finished the first couple of levels I had an idea of what was happening in the story from the previous games. This is a good thing from the creator though. It makes the player want to learn more, so they would go view the other games in the series. So the lack of detail of what happened in previous games bugged me a little because I had to play previous games to understand it.

On a final word, I love the scenery, and at almost no lag as well! The whole game flows so smoothly that it is amazing! The size of each level is enormous and still no lag! I have to ask Ravicale himself to personally give me advice for this specifically. In my opinion, this is the game's best feature.
