PSA: To Those Who Make/Like Rollercoaster Games

Review by bgscurtis on Thursday, December 23rd 2010

Welcome to Sploder. You'll notice the slogan is "Where games come true". Well, rollercoasters are not games. A game is defined as a competitive activity involving skill, chance, or endurance on the part of those who play according to a set of rules, usually for their own amusement or for that of spectators. A rollercoaster game involves 'click, wait, win'. There is absolutely no effort involved and if you find this amusing, there is something wrong with you.

Games like this and many, many more steal views from the new members who are attempting to make an effort on Sploder. Those who got here early (myself, Darut1234, tookewl, 7grant2, paradon, etc) shake our heads in shame when we see them winning contests and getting on the now trainwreck that is the Favourite Games list, our only refuge being the Featured Games list.

Rollercoaster games are to be ignored and if your are a rollercoaster maker/fan, I want you to stop and appreciate the finer games on Sploder and make games like these, then maybe you can have games in the featured games list, or maybe even the Epic Game Library.

Suggestions: Stop making rollercoaster games.
