The Continental Despair started in South America. The Venezuelans were mistaken from a convoy transporting needed materials from South America to North America. The convoy was stopped and the drivers were held hostage by the Venezuelan army. Three months later North America started getting impatient from the absence of oil. North America didn't have any oil, so they built specialized ships that ran on air to launch an assault upon the Venezuelans. Likewise, the South American government had agreed with Venezuela to send a spy over to North America to write plans for the newly created machines. In a month South America was creating their own Advanced Machines(AMs). The Continental Despair had begun.
