Elk, as they are eaten almost by every predator, need to be able to defend themselves. Go from the back. You cant just chase an elk. Wait for it to come and then scratch him. YOU CANT KILL BEARS! Watch out. Elks dont do many damage, but bears are dangerous.They are faster than anything else. Only a foolhardy wolf would start a fight with a 500 pound grizzly bear. So watch out.
