Welcome to another WellDone.:|WD|:.Review by captainalex!

So today I'll be reviewing Robotic Repo by paccreator, who usually has some good games of his. This'll be my second review for the *brand new!* .:|WD|:. thread. We got some new reviewers as well as our old ones, so expect many more WellDone Reviews. So, time to play dis PPS...

First off, DARN YOU LEVEL THREE!!!1!one!! I hate how your projectiles get blasted around and hit the weird... um, thing floating around in the middle. But anyways, I'm getting ahead of myself. So for some basics about the game: Robotic Repo is a puzzle physics game. The player you control is the prefab robot from Sploder Invaders, except tweaked a little each time. Falling objects is a recurring theme throughout Robotic Repo. And... um... hmm. I suppose that's pretty much all the basics.

I suppose for my first in-depth paragraph I should discuss the game-play, so I'll say it straight out that I am not of fan of the robots. The shooter flips around too much and the robot barely moves at all. That's just my opinion though. Other than that, the falling objects both helped game-play and were detrimental to it, depending on the level in question. Level 3, it was a detriment, making it so that only sheer good fortune allowed you to win in that level. (I must have spent 15 tries on that level) The falling objects helped the game-play in level 2 especially, making it harder. Level 1, well, was impossible to lose.

I really can't say anything for traps, as there weren't (and couldn't be) any at all, and the same for puzzles, so don't expect any ratings on these areas.

The "enemies", as I will call them, had pretty good placement (the guys you can't hit) though maybe a little too tough in some areas. There regrettably isn't much more I can say in this area... so time for the next section.

Robotic Repo had pretty much no lag at all in it, thanks to its simple background. It did take a while to get to the last level though, about 6 minutes (paccreator did it in a little more than 5) but I just quit there to make the review that you are reading right now. [GASP! "I'm reading a review?"] Yes, yes you are. Even without lag, though, level three was annoying because the projectiles kept pushing you away from the center and it took a long time to get back.

Scenery was OK, maybe not the best but still OK. The background was the basic type, but it was necessary to keep the lag down to a minimum. What was sorta cool was that the player always changed with each level, though it did lead to some inconsistency. If paccreator would've put some type of background info into the description, it would have made more sense, but hey, it's still good without one. Humdedumdum... what else to say? Ah well, time for the ratings!
