I'd like to provide some tips on making a good quality Sploder game that people will enjoy. This is from my own experience. Hope it helps! 1) ALWAYS add a description. If you don't people will be confused about what has to be accomplished and they will be more likely to not actually play your game. If you made a difficult and complex game, try to come up with some kind of plot and immerse the player in it. If you made a shorter, simpler game, simply add what the objective is. It helps A LOT! 2) Have a set goal, and let the player know what it is in the description (Ex: Find the crystal, destroy all enemies, etc.) 3) Make the game ORGANIZED. Don't randomly place enemies and turrets and just make the player try to defeat them. Place them in interesting patterns. Same goes for everything else (walls, boundaries, etc.) Never place them randomly. There needs to be some level of organization for a game to be good. 4) Make it AESTHETICALLY PLEASING. I'm assuming we've all seen art games. They're cool right? Well, you don't have to go as far as they do to make a good game you just need to make things look good. Choose a fitting color, and arrange things in interesting ways (as i said before). This makes people more likel to keep playing your game. 5) Add an ADDICTING aspect. make players want to go back and play your game no matter how many times they fail! 6)Add a STRATEGIC aspect. Don't just make a game where the player has to destroy all the enemies to get through. These kinds of game are boring and unimaginative. Make the player THINK a little, and he/she will be much more interested. 7) Make a game somewhat difficult, but not TOO difficult! I have seen many good games on Sploder but many are just TOO hard for the average player. Like i said, adding some strategic aspect is great, but don't overdo it, or you will get bad ratings and comments. DON'T MAKE IMPOSSIBLE GAMES! 8) Encourage people to rate, comment and nominate your game if they like it. NOTE that i said ENCOURAGE, NOT BRIBE! Bribing people by saying you will be their friend, rate all their games five stars, nominate their games, etc. is a turn off and youre probably lying right? 9) Have some good power ups at players' disposal. Space them out well so your player has them when he/she needs them. Its important to place health pills at points where the player's health may be low so he/she has a better chance of going on. 10)Most of all, be creative! Brainstorm and think of a game that stands out or no one has ever thought of before. You can gain inspiration from others games, but NEVER copy theirs! THATS ALL FOR NOW. MORE MAY BE ADDED AS I THINK OF NEW IDEAS OR IF YOU SUGGEST SOME TO ME.
