This is Miracle Reviews, where we might just see a Miracle Game!

Pre-Thoughts

Ohninedubya is 8bitgamer's old account, and I know that he had two featured games. They both were shooters and they're great games. Now that he has published another shooter on his new account now, I'm looking forward to see if he has still got his talent in creating his shooters. I'm expecting a decent game here.

Introduction

Welcome to my thirty seventh review and my thirty third [MR]. Today I'll be reviewing '~ShadowWorld~' by 8bitgamer. I have chosen to review this game because it was requested in the Miracle Reviews discussion on the forums and it's created by a user who had two featured games on his old account. Now on to the review.

Review

So the ship starts on top of a weak wall. Now you might be thinking "Yeah yeah, we all know how to get past one of those when the ship is on top of one," but no, there are mortars near so that makes a challenging start to the game. I noticed a con at the beginning and that was the message. It's just many dashes and I don't understand why that's there. To me it seems totally random and pointless as I didn't come across any other messages in the game.

Anyway, 8bitgamer has created a game that has had a lot of thought and effort put in to. There's a lot of action in this game, there's a lot going on. The placements could be better. There was also puzzle placed in to this game as well, although it could of done with some more. Puzzle is needed in every decent game. Don't forget about the game play though, that's a pro of the game as well. There aren't many cons in this game at all. There were a few pointless objects placed in the game though like the doors. I recommend that you play this game if you haven't done so yet.

Many things repeated in this game though for example the turrets and trees. It could of done with some of the lighter enemies like the speeders and cruisers otherwise it's too much health being lost at a time which means less time of game play. I don't understand what the point in all these magnets and obstacles placed in the game. You're mainly just searching for keys and health in this game and not many of the magnets were placed near that. Like who's going to control there ship to go into a magnet or an obstacle where there in a place with nothing else near? If they were placed more near, then magnets could of been have to been destroyed first for the health to be earned. There aren't many cons in this game, but 8bitgamer could still do better.

This is a difficult game as you can tell by nobody as beaten it yet as the game has over 125 views. Only a few cons are in this game as well. This game probably took only a few days to create yet it is still a decent game. The length of this game is about right for the type of game this is, no need for this game to be at least a ten minute long one.

Conclusion

8bitgamer should be proud of this game. It matched what I was expecting and I'd like to see a sequel for this game. Just if the placements were improved and if there was more puzzles placed in, this would be a brilliant game.

Improvements

So yeah, placements and puzzles could be improved. If you do create a sequel 8bit, I suggest you work on the puzzle and placements a bit more. The puzzle is almost spot on, I think it needs just a few more, but it's the placements that needs the most work. I'm not saying the placements are bad, they're actually good. It's the placements that mainly let down this game though. Like I posted in the review, many pointless objects and that placed in. In fact, I think too many of them were placed in. And if you don't create a sequel to to this game, try to follow what you could improve.

After-Thoughts

Overall, this game deserves a 4/5. Altogether, a great game and by the way, the pointless placements lets down the game play.

This has been a Miracle Review!
