It's becasue they relesead a new movie called Dragon Ball Z Battle Of Gods and in this movie,Goku turns into a level higher than super saiyan 3, the almighty Super Saiyan God. BUT, remember, GT doesn't count with this anime, because it wasn't created by Akira Toriyama.
