Hey, guys. As you may or may not know, if you join the forums, you can apply to become a Moderator and Reviewer. I am one of the recruiters for the reviewer recruitment, and this is a quick review just to help.

I don't know if you think these types of games should be reviewed and you just want to ignore the guidelines or you just can't read, but you really don't want to review art games for your application. There are quite a few obvious reasons why you shouldn't, but some of you must be oblivious. Let me take 5 Cool Life Hacks as an example just to show you. Before I start, I would like to apologize to arsalankhan for using one of his games. I'm sure you haven some great game making talent, but this was an easy target.

First of all, there's not much to do. Sometimes, all you do is move to a different spot quickly without much talent, you have to drag something somewhere, it's not the most creative thing. In this example, sure, there's quite a few things to do, but they are spaced out with one in each level, and that makes the game very quick. There's nothing you can really get out of it.

Second of all, there's nothing really to see. In some cases, there's detailed scenery which makes it pleasant to look at, but in some cases, there's nothing there except from something blowing up, wiggling about or something moving along, simply because that's all that's needed. In this example, all you can see is simply what it's focusing on, whether it's a sheet of paper, someone flying about or someone just growing. Yes, this could be difficult to do, but there's nothing there.

Basically, when you write a review application, we expect it to be detailed with a lot about the game, but you can't do that if there's nothing in the game other than art or a simple, quick process which ends with a snap of a finger. So, if you're considering to write a review, consider looking at the featured games page, and I guarantee you can get a lot more out of that.
