Greetings, one and all!

Hello everyone, I'm firetrolik, your humble new reviewer! I've been starving to draft my first main site review, and now the time has arrived! So, which game will I be reviewing? Good question, our lucky game today is: Komodo by Yugioh77! You're swaying around the middle 'trap room', covered by sandblocks. You visualise 4 directions of escape, although 2 of them have been heavily sealed, so you are left with 2 options: Left or right? To make your first steps towards triumph, you're required to choose your path. Who knows what mysterious things you will stumble upon? You'll have to play the game to find that out! Yugi proudly dedicated his time to make an atmosphere of impression around his audience, starting from the primary bits and pieces of 'Komodo'! He also represents maturity and talent, as the possession of the badges 'Moderator' and 'Reviewer' represent this! Additionally, it is easy to clarify that a decent game maker pre-creates a decent game, especially one that specialises in creating platformers! If I'm mistaken, feel free to prove me wrong. Alright, enough with the introduction stuff, let's begin our little constructive review! Thumbnail, you're up for stage!

Okay, first things first. We're going to need to cover the parts of the thumbnail, to give my readers a mental image of the game. I'll aim to be as descriptive as I can, so focus! The thumbnail revolves around the starting point of level 1, it seems. As mentioned before, we visualise the 4 hallways (and decisions upon our actions) of escape. They are covered by small sandblocks, but there's more to it! Edging out on the far left corner, we can see a caveln. Maybe we require a grenade (or more) in order to advance past it? On the far right corner, hot blocks with green switch blocks occurs to our very eyes. This reminds me of a trap, don't you think? And last but not least, your eyes slide onto small parts of both hallways on the left and right. Not so much about firm detail and explanatory, but we at least are able to catch the concept of the game Yugi had in plans to create for us! Sliding our eyes downwards, we see the tiles with different textures, yet very little items below. Who knows what this place is, hmm? I'm glad you asked, because I am prepared to move on from thumbnail to placement! I hope you possess a mental image now, and have been warmed up. Here we go!

As part of my plans and promise, we are venturing down into placement! Nicely done, Yugioh hit a 'job well done' on this one! And to back this up, I've brought along a case of evidence. Sliding and climbing your way up and down slides through the cracks of success quite easily. Oh, and don't just celebrate yet! Once you fall into a pit of lava, you'll be begging on your knees for mercy! You'll be so amazed you'll want to go on and on! Switches, wheels, power ups, and many other pieces of the playfield have been located at a degree of satisfacton! For example, activating a locked door by a switch will most likely to discover and use a different item first, from what I can tell. Now, we're aiming for a bulls eye on 'placement', we want to get it perfect! We need to make our audience admire this section, as it is the heart of our game! If we fail in this, we're screwed. And now, back to Yugioh. He achieved distinction in placement, which is also one of the major parts of why I admire and compliment on his game. I would have included more in this section, but I have nothing left to say here. So, maybe we should move straight on to scenery? Good decision, lets go!

Mhm, we're on scenery now. This aspect only adds visual points to the game, although not a rather important piece of work. The scenery will only affect very few areas, but definetely not the quality of the game, which is what matters. The scenery in Komodo involves multi coloured back walls, very few truss, and the puzzles and traps especially add on to this. Also, I managed to visualise some spider cobwebs in the very corners of the explored tunnels while we play this little game, it seems. The scenery impresses me, but I have no forming words on my tongue left. Therefore, I have decided to move myself onto enemies and hazards. (I would have included puzzles and traps, but there we're none).

Challenging yet exciting, enemies and hazards cover the success category with a bulls eye! They have been placed correctly in the playfield, but unfortunately I must also criticize this category, it seems. The placement of enemies is satisfactory and I'm proud of it, although I believe Yugi could've done better, since only a few enemies laid on the playfield, as I believe there could have been more to it. To summarise this, the placement of enemies has been an advantage, although the number of enemies should be looking to improve. Now that I've covered the enemies, I will take a look at the hazards and express my personal thoughts about it. Once again, the number of allocated hazards (such as cbleeps, hot blocks, lava pits, spike blocks, etc.) remains at a low quantity, which rather from my opinion doesn't meet the standards or cover the remaining 10% of the potential of the game. This has been an absolutely thrilling experience which had me begging for more, although I wish there was more to it. I'm running low on things to say, but I think I should put those last pieces in my review. We're going to see if this game is feature worthy!

Okie dokie, my last paragraph. Is this game feature worthy? Since most of my experiences on the game have been at a positive standard, this game deserves a feature, just as it is! I suggest to keep this on the featured page, since I have covered the positive points throughout this game, and my criticism was up to a low quantity.

Pro's:

- Appealing thumbnail

- Good use of placement

- Complimentary scenery

Cons:

- Low quantity of enemies and hazards
