Hey all,

Back with my 42nd review. Yes, I'm the third person to review this game, even though I was the first to say I'd review it. So why am I reviewing it? Much like Daydream I saw a thread on the forums "THIS GAME TOOK 5 DAYS TO MAKE IT BETTER BE FEATURED AND REVIEWED!" by Mjduniverse. Okay, so after playing the game, I thought writing a review could be fun, lol.

First of all, just because a game takes you what you think is a long time, does not make it automatically feature worthy. Most featured games take much more time then 5 days, (which really is just 10 minutes here and there from what I saw of the game). I'll try not to be too harsh but this game is nowhere near the standards of todays great games.

REVIEW

The gameplay is pretty boring. MJD just placed a spikeblock here, a hotblock there, all you do is jump over it, hey, a medkit! Jump over another one, hey, a medkit! This game has absolutely no challenge whatsoever, it's not fun to play because instead of actually being challenged, I beat the game with full health and was rarely under full health. If I were to count I'm sure I'd count 50 medkits and extra lives altogether; MJD may've edited the game based on the other reviews but I've already started this and I'm reviewing the game I played the first time.

The scenery doesn't stand out, at least you bothered to put some backwalls, but even that doesn't help your cause much, sorry MJD. Some games can go well with limited scenery but when games are lacking in other areas, if it's aesthetically pleasing that can at least raise the score a tad. But not this one, MJD has decided that scenery would be too much work, I mean, he already spent 5 days on it already! So that's my advice for next time MJD, you have to try and focus on each individual aspect and make it best as you can, you need challenge, less health, some scenery wouldn't do any harm etc.

I don't want to completely bash this game, so I'm not going to be too harsh, but traps and puzzles were also quite nonexistant. Combat wasn't really hard at all, there was a level where you need to kill just 9 enemies. I don't have a problem with Defeat All Enemy game objectives, I mean, look at DragonStone by swallowthesun, a great defeat all enemies game. This one was lacking though, on that 3rd level (I think) where you had to defeat all enemies, there was no challenge to the fight scenes, the placement of the enemies was uncreative and in one area there were about 4 all next to eachother. In a game like this, you need some better design around the fighting areas. This game just had no distinctive feel to it at all.

MJD, don't get angry because you spent a bit of time on this game and it didn't turn out the way you planned. That happened to me a lot when I was a newer member. It's not too late to make this game a bit more respectable, get a better design, add in some interesting scenery, spice up the action scenes and maybe create a storyline so the game has an atmosphere, so that the player actually feels involved. Games need challenge with them too. This could be a nice learning curve for you, follow some advice we're giving you and your games could improve quite a bit. Good luck.

OVERALL SCORE

1/5

With some adjustments the game could be much better, I did give it a 1/5, at least you put some effort into it, I see games titled 'defat enemyz' where you're put in between 20 rockys. You know, at least you added some underground areas etc. That shows me you've got an idea, at least.

I hope you don't take the criticism to heart, but you asked for a review, you got one.
