[WR] This Dragon Slayer Sure Didn't Slay Fun

...

Sorry for yet another Rubbish Title. Anyway, we haven't had many Reviews recently :( Infact, we've only had one or 2 (Maybe 3) in the past Week. But that's all about to change. Anyway, 32st Review today. And today I'm gonna Review Future Knight: Dragon Slayer by startrekzooka. Which apparently is a Tribute to me (Not the Reason why I'm Reviewing it. It's because I couldn't find anything else :))

Pre-Thoughts

Future Knight: Dragon Slayer sounds like something interesting, Something with a very good Story. And also sounds like it could entertain me with plenty of Action throughout. And that's what I have seen from Startrekzooka in the past. Quite alot of Action in his Games. But one thing they normally lack in though is a Challenge. Something that I like to see in a Game, but not something so hard that it's not fun to play. Hopefully Future Knight: Dragon Slayer will provide me with the Action & the Story I'm expecting and hopefully there might be a Challenge to it as well. But will it deliver?

Thumbnail

One thing I never mentioned in Pre-Thoughts was decoration, it seems that there is a decent design there. Along with Enemies, which contribute to it. It seems like there's going to be plenty of Action throughout the Game. But then, Thumbnails have just been aimed to catch your eye in the past. The Game itself can turn out to be Terrible. Hopefully though, Future Knight: Dragon Slayer isn't gonna do that. And if it does I'm gonna be very disappointed. It's also Featured so the chances are that it will not disappoint. But anyway, lets see if it really is any good?

Story

The Story is basically about a Knight passing some Tests before entering a Magic Portal, in which he has to escape before another Knight passes these Tests. The Story isn't perfect, but it isn't bad. But, he does use the names of Shooter Enemies which weren't around at the Time (And aren't today) so it wasn't very lifelike at all. But I don't really care how realistic it is. I just care that the Storyline is interesting, which as I said earlier is alright. But it's gonna take more then the Story for me to decide if I like the Game or not. But it's still nice to have a Story worth following

Gameplay

The Game starts off like the Thumbnail, and stays like that for a while. From what I saw of the Game it was fast Paced Action throughout. From start to the Point where I died. I remember when I first played this and I got myself stuck (I fail so badly) But anyway, the Action was pretty good. And of course, I've had a couple of attempts at the Game so I know that there is a challenge to it, something that isn't seen too often in Startrekzooka's Games. And if there is one, it's normally not that much of one. On the Lag Topic, there wasn't any. Not any Lag (From my Point of View. Maybe some though for you) I can't find any Lag to complain about. And it seems to stay like it is for a couple of Minutes. I don't see anything wrong with that, but it probably can't keep things up for too long. So Time (I judge everything, where I got in the Game, how long the Game is by the Highscores btw. Or just guess) But you don't need to know about that. I understand that there is more to talk about. But I don't really feel like talk about all that stuff. As that was also pretty much good. Overall, I enjoyed the Gameplay to Future Knight: Dragon Slayer. Especially the fast paced Action. Good work! But anyway, Scenery now

Scenery

The Game takes a very Art Game approach. In some People (Even me) doing this in a Game can ruin the Gameplay. And when that happens, the Game can become very disappointing. But with Future Knight: Dragon Slayer, that doesn't happen. It has the Intro, which looks fantastic! And the Scenery stays good throughout. The design of the Gamer if fantastic. Now, you may just be thinking "Looks cool" by looking at this but to experience how fabulous the Scenery really is you are gonna have to play the Game (Like I expect you to) And best of all, this Arty approach to the Game doesn't actually ruin the Gameplay itself (Unlike Games decorated like this normally do) The Backround for me, was a bit meh. Normally I'm not a fan of the Grey backround (I like a bit more Colour to it) and this Time it's no exception! Just joking, it blends in really well with the Game. Enemies weren't a huge contribution to the Scenery (With the exception of the beginning) but that's not Vital at all. Scenery, was good but I have seen better before.

Placement

Alright, I don't really have that much to say for Placement. But if you look at the Thumbnail you can see decent Enemy Placement. This, continues throughout the Game. And it's not just Enemy Placement that's good. I didn't notice any Poor Placement in the Game. But with the exception of the start of the Game none of it really did stand out. I found myself much more focused on the Gameplay then the Placement, which is one of the Main Reasons. Although I would say that Placement must've been good, because it wasn't standing out as bad yet I was enjoying the Experience. Yet again, a further Positive Paragraph on Future Knight: Dragon Slayer.

Puzzles & Traps

Puzzles and Traps, there weren't any that I saw. Apart from Nitro, which can sometimes require a little thinking to get around. But, it wasn't used in a Puzzle style. Which, for me (Maybe not you) is easy. You just use your Ray from a Distance (Moving around to find a decent Position) and your done. So, I can't say that Future Knight: Dragon Slayer had Puzzles that Puzzled me, if any Puzzles at all. I haven't really seen Puzzling Puzzles from Startrekzooka before, so I think that could be something for him to improve on in Future Games :)

Pros

Gameplay, Introduction, Placement

Cons

Lack of Puzzles & Traps

Overall: ________/__________

8/10. Future Knight: Dragon Slayer provided me with the entertainment that I like to see in a Game and definately exceeded my (Not low, but not that high) Expectations. I hope that this continues into Future Games and that startrekzooka takes the Advice I gave him. This could possibly give him a higher Rating next time I Review one of his Games (Just because I said so doesn't mean I will, you know I'm unreliable) But then, is it Feature Worthy? My answer, Yes

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this Review and please provide me with feedback to help with Future Reviews :)
