Information On The Forums Situation

Hey there, I'm Martin. For those who don't know me, I managed the Reviewer Recruitment on Sploder. I'm going to briefly explain what has happened in the past 24 hours regarding the forum.

Yesterday, a Generals (Forum Staff) account was compromised by a hacker. Once he gained access to the account, he used the permissions to delete all other Staff's accounts and then the compromised account itself. This left the Forum in a state of complete vulnerability. We reached out to Geoff, and when he responded he saw the vulnerabilities as a threat to our safety, so he took the unfortunate decision to delete the entire forum. Although a lot of members wish we had time to archive memories, we have to remember that this was the best thing to do.

If you are also unaware, Sploder relies on a software called 'Abobe Flash', something which is going to be discontinued in 2020, which will lead to Sploder becoming unfunctional. A lot of the community hoped that the forum would remain up as a contact point for the Sploder Community, but unfortunately due to yesterdays events, the forum has been completely removed.

However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The Forums Staff have begun creating a new forum which will be linked at the bottom. It's still in very early days, but we hope that this effort will still inspire people to be active on the community for the last few years of Sploders Life. I'll also be linking the Sploder Discord Server, so please join that even if you weren't a member of the forums.

Sploder is in a very vulnerable stage at the moment, and on behalf of Forums and Mainsite staff, we know we can stick together and get past this selfish attack.
