Imprisonment is a game created by dudki

Imprisonment is a sequel to one of Dudki's previous games, Treasure Hunting. That game was fairly generic, with similar game maps to some of his previous game. With Imprisonment, I expected it to be like Treasure Hunting, as after all, it is a sequel. Sequels are supposed to be somewhat similar, derp?

Okay, here's is my main complaint of the game. IT WAS UNFORGIVABLE. The second level required you to navigate the never ending cave, and that takes like... 10 minutes. Honestly, I don't think it's a good start to the game if you die on level three and want to replay again. However, when/if you get far into the game, it's fun.

Another annoying thing about this game... THE TRAPS. The first trap was on level two, and it required you to start over again (Required you going under a pipe after you got an object). I like my traps to have warnings. It's like jack-in-a-boxes. When you realise there's a freaking scary clown in it, you wouldn't open it. Of course, it would require some inspecting, like maybe it's making a funny noise... that's how traps should be. If I see another trap, I shall throw you in my dungeon and my kitten can lick you to death when you're asleep. We don't want that, do we?

Now comes positives, hoorahz!

The levels after the first few were very enjoyable. Sure, they may have not included new concepts or gimmicks, but they were fun to roam around. The open levels had a very nice exploration feel to them, however, it was very easy to get lost, and when I got lost, I realllyyyy got lost. Heck, the first time I played this I spent 30 minutes on the first 2 levels because they were so big.

Dudki included some puzzles. Now, the good thing about them was they didn't tie your mind in a knot and give you a headache, but they had simple solutions that did require thinking. No puzzles should be too difficult, as that ruins the fun of the game, and I'm glad dudki has not done that.

The kitty's spoke to me to say that the game had lots of karate fighting. Silly kittens, the game requires no karate, but instead action. It was action-packed, packed with action, wrapped with action... etc. Of course, sometimes when backtracking it can be a little less action-y. I need my breaks, and I got them.

I only managed to get to some sky temple (which was too difficult in my opinion. The kittens agree too) but I feel like I have enough of an opinion to rate the game.

3.75/5. :)
