[P4S] Don't Play This Game If You Have A Good Image

Archer is a game created by vpopsiclev

Right, puzzle games. They're either bleep or they're okay. It is very difficult to execute a puzzle game where it's not too difficult and players can progress far enough into the game, which is the reason I don't make them anymore. But no need for a boring anecdote, like the ones your parents tell you (where they had no internet, how many times have we heard that in a lifetime?), I have a review to write on Archer by vpopsiclev, which is a puzzle game if you haven't figured out the obvious yet.

The game starts off where you have to stand on an elevator and avoid the lava and several arrows fired at you. I got hit many times, and this probably ruined my image, but my point is that the game doesn't seem very original at first. Throughout the game, we come to many puzzles recreated to seem original, for example, hitting a checkpoint you can't see using a cl0ser (I bet that probably ruined my image too). I am happy that the creator made an attempt to recreate old puzzles and make them seem more creative. It's the little things that count.

One thing I absolutely hate with a passion about this game is the fatal trap, falling to the ground. Not only will you hit the ground with a massive thud and chip a toenail (the third thing that will ruin your image). I wish there was some way to get back up, but punishing you by taking away some health. Maybe instead of falling all the way down to the bottom from that blue key door (which actually was a decent trap), there could be some spikes at the bottom, and a ladder leading back up. There's room for improvement there too.

Archer game had one mini action scene placed randomly throughout the game, but I would of preferred it if vpopsiclev recreated that action scene into a puzzle involving killing an enemy with large health. It was a great opportunity to create a puzzle with a twist, the scene was still okay (you had to dodge more arrows before they ruined your image even more), but it could of been better.

3/5

Don't play Archer if you have a good image that can easily be ruined- I MEAN, Archer was a game with potential. Is the game good enough for a feature? Not at the moment. However, it's an enjoyable game. I managed to get about 90% through the game.

Pros: Difficulty, puzzles (at times), enjoyability.

Cons: Traps, puzzles (at times).

Also, sorry for the rather short review, but it's a kind of short game.
