Introduction

Hi. It's Milking. I will be reviewing an epic EGD game, that won 4th place overall, the best plat in my opinion...*Drum Play*...Presenting...*Bigger Drum Play*...Oceans by Swallowthesun! Tadaaa!

Pre-Thoughts

Swallowthesun is a quiet kinda guy. He doesn't post much comments, just a few tho. I find him too serious and too mature... He just isn't funny and chat like, he just takes jokes too serious and, you know, other stuff like some little problems, a little bug... But, he is very nice and he's always there to help. Swallowthesun makes epic plats, with many, and I mean many enemies. They are just so hard, no one can pass them! They are long, but they don't lag. Huh? He's got all three ranks, which is impressive. Oceans was his Epic Game Drop entry, and it won 4th place! I don't know how much levels does this game have, because I got to the 11th level. Was it the last one? How should I know?! Well, I should know but I don't know. lol So, Oceans is the best plat on Sploder, well, that's what I think... Now, lets see the GamePlay, should we?

GamePlay

This game is big, 10 levels, and it doesn't lag?! O.o But seriously, Swallowthesun makes so hard games, with much items and levels, and his games don't lag?! That's kinda weird. I really liked the story-line and the poem. Yes, Swallowthesun made a poem about his game, that's very nice. I really liked this poem, it makes me cry. But yeh, he did a great job! Now, the enemy placement was very good! On every corner, enemy. On every tile, enemy. You can't just pass through, you need to fight! The enemies were well choosed, I liked that ones on the boat on level 2. They kinda fit in. Everything here was good, I mean the GamePlay has much positives. But, there is something I don't like, and I know it's just not me... The puzzles. I really didn't see any puzzles, maybe just two or three. An awesome game needs awesome puzzles, but I really didn't see that...

Positives and Negatives

There is only one negative, the puzzles. As I said, I really didn't see them, so that actually ruins the review. My review is shorter because I can't talk about the puzzles. Oh well, it's okay. Now, the positives: the story-line, enemy placement, the name of the game, power-ups and the poem. The story-line was very good. That general dog or what is it was telling you everything. And that owl and wizard too. I really liked it. The enemy placement, yeah, been there done that. Told ya everything. Hm, now, the name of the game, Oceans, very interesting. But yeah, Swallowthesun made a game about oceans and that's why the name is Oceans. The weren't much power-ups in the game, which makes it a lot of harder. There is actually one power-up, life heart, hidden in level one. :P But yeah, the power-ups were good. The poem, I really liked it.

Staring at the sea...

Will she come?

Is there hope for me..

After all is said and done?

Anything at any price,

All of this, for you.

All the spoils of a wasted life...

All of this, for you.

All the world has closed her eyes,

Tired faith all worn and thin,

For all we could have done,

And all the could have been.

Oceans pull me close...

And whispers in my ear.

The destiny I've chose...

All becoming clear.

The currents have their say,

And time is drawing near...

Washes me away.

Makes me disappear.

AND I DESCEND FROM GRACE!

IN ARMS OF UNDERTOW!

I WILL TAKE MY PLACE!

IN THE GREAT BELOW!

End/Feature Worthy

Some members say that Oceans is EGL worthy. I thought so at the start, but now I figured it out, it's not. Heres why: There are no puzzles and no traps a few members say it's not EGL worthy too. But is it feature worthy? Heck yes! It may not have puzzles, but it's still feature worthy. The game was fantastic and really interesting. This is my very favorite plat. Hope you liked my third review, bye!
