Crafty Castle is a game created by gamethomas

Hey everybody, back in action, I may be a little rusty, but we will see, eh? Anyway, **Crafty Castle** by gamethomas has received an unusual amount of reviews, so I am going to check it out for a review. Never heard of this kid before, never have played any of his games aside from this one? New talent? Idk, I want to see if this really deserves all of the praise it has earned, WHILST I muncheh on meh *cupcakez*, let's get started from worst to best, eh?

Like the awkward crunchy part

Do you hate it when you are eating a cupcake, and then you bite into some, mysterious object that you wish wasn't there? I felt the same way at certain parts of playing crafty castle. The main problem I had with this game was the challenge. THIS GAME WAS PATHETICALLY EASY TO EAT, ER BEAT! This part of the game needed frosting, heck, maybe a new cupcake all together. I don't think I lost more than 1 life through out the game. I found that it was too easy. I also found that the puzzles were horrible. I know what you are thinking "Maybe he was going for an action game", WELL, for about the first few levels of the game, THERE - WAS - NO - ACTION! I found it bland, in that aspect at least. My recommendation is to fill the bottom of the cupcake up with frosting and push that part out, and make it strawberry flavored, er, what I mean by that is throw some PZAZZ into the difficult/puzzles, other wise it does not challenge people and make them think, which is mainly what the physics creator is for, to create new and exciting puzzles. I recommend for his next game to make it harder and more complex, make me think, you know?

Everyone likes sprinkles, right?

Sprinkles, THE THING THAT BURNED OUR CROPS, MURDERED OUR PET VIPER SNAKE AND BURNED DOWN MY ENTIRE HOUSE, anyway, sprinkles are small things that make everything taste better? Wrong, stupid "multi - flavored sprinkles". This game seemed to pull it off though. Ode to scenery, I felt that gamethomas did an ok job on this portion of the game. The scenery was rather....primitive, but it was still something nice to look at. I do wish however, that he would have used more graphics, rather than regular tiles, but nonetheless he still executed this cupcake well I guess. Anyway, The one problem I had with scenery was that after a while it got kind of boring. Ahem "A Representation of my face with the scenery...

Level One: =D

Level Two: =)

Level Three: =?

Level Four: =/

Level Five: >.>

Level Six ]:|

Mhm, it got little boring to look at after a while. In his next game, which I will most certainly review, I will be looking for varied scenery. Overall, not bad, but not fantastic after all.

Da big cake itself

The actually cupcake, that is my secondest favoritest part in teh whole wide woyrld! Don't worry my grammar isn't that bad in real life...or is it?) Anyway, just like the cupcake, the part I felt to be my second favorite was the enemy movement/placement. I liked how he made them move in unique patterns or do unique things that would eventually come back and try to screw you over. The first boss I especially liked, because the spikes would keep going after they shot out of that little red cereal killer (which by the way, he was easy to eat, er beat, like the cupcake was to beat, er eat). The other notable enemy was the enemies on level five(?) that shot back and forth between the walls. I think I may have to steal his recipe for enemy ideas... The enemy placement itself was average. They were placed in spots to guard things mostly, could have used more enemies though, they were easily avoided. The final boss of the game was ok I guess, although it was kind of annoying for the controls, but nonetheless, not bad signor, but there is still one part of the cupcake I haven't talked about...

LIKE A FROSS....ting

Yeah, shut up, I know frosting is spelled wrong, but it makes it sound cooler, like a fros...ting? Nawp, then it makes it sound like a I failed at making frosting, boss. Anyway, I love frosting, the rich creamy substance made from the devils bon bon bowl, Idc. My favorite part of Crafty Castle was the block placement. I felt it was clever, and gave me the most fun to at least think about. The block placement helped my second favorite aspect of the game, and just made the over all experience good, however I still hate the fact that it was way to easy for my liking. Not much to say about this portion of the game except that I liked it, there is still one more thing I want to talk about...

The oven is part of the cupcake?

WHAAAAAT? You can't make a cupcake without an oven foo, unless you wanna try and be ghetto and make a pancup - cake by making it on the stove (Trust me, I've seen it happen long story, pretty funny yet, ah , painful outcome.) Anyway, in this case, the creativity it the oven of the game, with out baking it first, it will turn out bad, and everyone knows what your body does with body does with bad things...Anyway, I found this game to be pretty creative in a certain sense. gamethomas turned a generic castle game into an interesting experience, that had some chunky parts, and some good parts. I found this game to be *SOMEWHAT* unique and interesting games, now let's go finish up the cupcake with some scoring.

1 Cup cake, 2 cup cakes?

Well, gamethomas has done an ok job on his game Crafty Castle, and I am excited for the second one, however I really want him to make it harder and more exciting, I feel that he can also improve upon the scenery just a bit. NOW, do I feel it was a good game? Check. Do I think it deserved the feature? Check. But do I think it deserves all of the praise and such that was given to it? Not really. Honestly, I felt the game was good, but not as good as some of the other featured games that did not receive praise. Anyway, good luck gamethomas and...wait, did I put poison in the cu...~Drops to the floor~
