Not Bad At All...
Break the Base is a game created by maddogten
Game Play
Well this is defiantly one of the harder 3D games I've played so far. It's not even the enemy's that are making it difficult. It's the fact that maddogten cleverly put enemy chargers in every room. Most of the times the enemy's would just stand on the charger and you would have to lure him out before you can try to kill him. For that reason i think the enemy placement was pretty good, there seemed to actually a reason why enemy's were put in certain places. Not just a bunch of random spots on the map. Now one thing i wasn't a big fan of was all the snaggers (The walls that pull you in). 1 or 2 would be Ok but they seemed to be every where. Now some of them were cleverly placed, like when one of them would bring you in and then 1 or 2 drones would pop out and keep shooting you as your still trying to avoid the snagger. I think he should have either gave you a partner or more health with out a trap involved to make this game a little easier and more enjoyable. Overall the game play was quite thrilling and defiantly not easy, but it's still not perfect.
Puzzles
The puzzle doors in this game were kind of boring. There would be all maze door puzzles on one level and then all shape puzzles on the next. This got rather boring after a while, because you would eventually see the same puzzles pop up on the same level. There were quite a few door puzzles in the game, about 5-7 per a level. So you can see why i wasn't very pleased with the same kind of puzzles on each level. And i think it just slows down the fun game play all together. Next time i think it would be better with less puzzles or more variety of puzzles.
Extra
I honestly think there should have been more of a story line to it. Although the game play and traps were fun there should be some sort of plot or at least more dialogue. I find most 3D games to be the same unless they have a story to it. The lag was pretty good in this game besides a couple of moments when he put like 50 drones in one spot. I also think maybe a better name? Lol. I just don't think the name was to creative, not going to hold that against the game though.
Rating time!
Notes: It was quite good for a first 3D game. But there is still a lot of room for improvement.
