Hey, this is mash again, and I will be reviewing Misfortune by boredgame.

Introduction

Nothing says in the rules that I am not allowed to review my relatives games, and I just noticed that my sister got a feature again, surprisingly this was a plat, what? Yes, we were very shocked seeing this featured because boredgame didn't really put effort into making the game, also because I was expecting her next feature to be a PPG. Well I have no expectations, I can tell you that. (I feel so mean saying that. XD) So ironic that a game called Misfortune was fortunate enough to be featured. Anyway, onto the review.

Review

Gameplay, was good, so much cl0sers in the whole game, I enjoyed playing as I kept going FUUUUUU-- and Y U NO MOVE PROPERLY?! But honestly, I wouldn't say the gameplay was perfect. The obstacles were sometimes hard to dodge or just too plain easy to avoid. The good parts here are that there are hidden switches that you wouldn't be able to see. Unless you were so clumsy that you fell somewhere and pushed a random switch, that is. You know what's weird, that some one level platformers are longer than this game with three levels. Well the length was okay since the good gameplay covered up for the shortness.

Difficulty, it was normal, not that hard, there was some hard parts and easy parts in misfortune. Addictiveness, the game was very addicting, as I said a while ago it made me go FUUUUUUUU-- like the last game I reviewed. I don't really have anything to say here so, that's it it's really addictive and it has average difficulty.

Placements, they were okay, except in the health placements when there's an extra life, expect to die instantly, wasting that extra life. I wouldn't say that was bad,it was just okay. The block placements were okay, along with the enemies. I really liked the trap placements, with all the cl0sers and such. Not much to say here again, I'm running out of words now, loading... I'm back to life! Onto the next paragraph.

Design, it was alright, nothing special here unlike other games. Good thing the design doesn't give me a headache but the maker of this game does, just kidding. You can imagine the design as an ice cream, the more you eat it the boring it tastes, like the design it was okay, but now it's like meh to me.

Pros:

-Addictive

-Difficulty was alright.

Cons:

-Common storyline

-Length of the game was too short for me.

Ratings:

Creativity: ___/_____

I honestly didn't find this game that original and that creative.

Addictiveness: _____/_____

Very addicting in my opinion.

Placements: ___/_____

They were okay nothing to go woah about.

Originality: ___/_____

Err, somehow I've seen this concept and storyline before, I'm not sure where but I've seen it.

Overall: __.8/_____

Conclusion

Misfortune was alright, it has its ups and downs, not boredgame's best plat, which is why I wonder how it got featured. I don't have much to say about the game since it was quite short for my taste but it was good. Boredgame consider this as you early birthday gift. (Everyone her birthday is on January.)
