King Aegon is a game created by jackjoshseb

Want to hear something crazy? Hamsters riding blue poodles are going to take over the world in 2014 while you president is busy jackin' it to spongebob. Want to hear something true? Sixth Sense probably has the best twist out of any movie to date. Want to hear something crazy but true? JJS's first 3D release King Aegon might have placed itself in my top 3 favorite 3D games of all time.

The game features a smooth story that flows easily from level to level. Intense action sequences that can leave you running for your 3rd life in a perfectly crafted level stuffed with obstacles that while easily passed, can catch you when you least expect it to. And puzzles that can leave you scratching your head for awhile, but usually not too long to bore you. But most of all, it features something VERY beautiful. Something that members seem to be failing to make, this feature bypasses the plague that has inflicted sploder for years. What is this special feature King Aegon hold? An intriguing name. The name King Aegon instantly brings forth tales of fantasy and woe, a heroic quest that will both bring you in and keep you immersed. It really shows you that it wants you to let yourself free in the world.

But there IS one problem. One GLARING mistake in the naming of this game. If you were keen, you would have noticed it. I used the words FANTASY AND HEROIC. Both of which this game is not. And another word IMMERSED, something this story definetly does not do. This game can bring you in, sure. The name does its job and gains JJS yet another view. But this game is no fantasy, this game has no dragon, no knight, no stallion or mare. This game has robots and biologically enhanced lizards which act as high-tech aliens. This game is no heroic quest, but a man trying to save himself. Expressing both self pity and regret. This man is the cause for the death of an entire civilization, and when he least expects it, the death of an entire people. He is no hero... he is Cerberus gaurding the gate to happiness. No one ever enters, no one ever leaves.

This one fatal flaw leads to another. A game builds over accomplishment, not defeat. You start at the bottom, and somehow yet, you descend even further. I noticed that even JJS didn't understand the effects of this hero as there is no sign in the game the he did. This would have been genius (much like I did in werewolf) if JJS was able to guide the story the way it was going instead of letting it trail off on its own way. If he had lead the story better, and realized its full potential, this game would not only have hit the EGL in its first day release, but it would have also been undeniably the greatest 3D game on this site.

But it isn't too late for that. If JJS takes the time, goes back in the game and leads the story too show that this man is a tortured soul, but following him isn't the right thing to do. And to better help the player come to the conclusion that... maybe, just maybe, he or she should just let King Aegon die the death he deserves. Then maybe we can all better understand the point I made in werewolf:

This game gets 3.2 stars. It has obtained the stamp of truth.
