Troubled Mages? Hfmmph, Rather "Puzzling Mages".

Pre-thoughts

Mastam is a great shooter creator. Well, he makes good platformers, but I've never really enjoyed any of his platformers. But, that's my opinion. His shooters are legendary, as you can see by just playing some of his first few games. I hope to see him continue his great reputation of good shooters with this game.

Review

I am sorry to say, but this will be a short review. (Compared to my other reviews, anyway.) After playing this game, Mastam kept up his reputation to a positive note. This game starts out with a great puzzle. Well, the beginning puzzle is actually a multi-puzzle. First, you must find a way to get the crystal. There are two crystals in this game. As I believe, he gives you one at the start and one at the end.

There is more to the beginning puzzle, however. The invisible walls are a great obstacle. I've always enjoyed invisible wall puzzles because they can be quite irritating as this one is on your first try. Just to find your way through it isn't the easiest thing in the world. Then you get to a puzzle that is rather used pretty often using bo-never mind. Anyway, the puzzle is used often and almost always gets me on the first try. Well this one, was even more difficult because you had hardly any of 'the tool' you needed. Most of the time in that puzzle, they give you like 100 of 'the tool' so you don't run out. Well, he sure didn't. Placement was the key to that puzzle.

You see, what I like about these type of games that mastam makes, is that he proves that you don't need the best 'scenery' or 'design' to make a great game. He shows you that none of those things are needed. That's the thing I like the most about his games.

Troubled Mages was a very unique game. I would have wrote way more about this game, if I could have gotten farther, Lol. Mastam, keep up the good work. Never run out of ideas either. :)
