Tegers' 5th review!

Pre-thoughts

Just browsing through random user's games... I found this game through searching and it looked pretty interesting so I thought I'd check it out. This review probably won't be that long...

Review

This game looks pretty cool in the beginning. Though there are only two levels they look like they were worked on very well. One thing I can automatically comment about are the enemies, they are scattered everywhere! But one thing is Zoracreator relied on prefabs alot for this game. I'd only use prefabs if you want to make a quick platform or something like that.

Block Zora has a detailed scenery, with a cool snowy background. Some of the elevators were not needed. The only hazards Level 1 are really just the spikes, if you don't include the enemies. Block Zora is also made a little too easy with all the extra lifes. Atleast in level 1 that is so. But it seems like a pretty good game at this point.

Thoughts so far?

Well, Block Zora is a pretty good game but not too epic yet. We'll have to see what level 2 will bring first. But so far this game clearly looks worked on well and not rushed. But one of the down sides are some un-needed elavators. Which waste my time a little bit. The enemies are scattered. The only hazards are the spikes. But it's still a pretty neat level.

On to level 2 we have a different setting, clearly different. It's more dark and smokey than level 1. The scenery in this level really gets better. It has a better detail and fits in with everything else. Zoracreator also put lots of ? blocks that you might not understand if they are good or bad. This goes with level 1 too.

Challenge increases in level 2, most stuff in level 1 comes to be increased throughout level 2. There are more hazards in this part of the game and you want to be very careful how you jump. Mistakes can easily be made in Block Zora. Personally I think this type of game really deserves some attension of it's audience. It's better than most physics games I personally played.

Pros

Scenery - Block Zora has a pretty detailed scenery and doesn't cause too much lag.

Challenge - This game is pretty challenging, mainly when it comes to level 2. But neither is it impossible.

Enemies & Hazards - Though they may be scattered all over the place they do add some action to Block Zora

Cons

Puzzle - I forgot to really mension this. The only actual puzzle in this game is near the end of level 2 and at the beginning of level 1.

Elavators - Probably some of the elavators could be removed since they are un-needed in certain spots.

Final Thoughts

This game is okay, not too good, but not too lame either. It was quite fun and has a few fixes and a few creativity. I can't really give my own opinion on it being feature-worthy though.
