Introduction

Ohaider. Yes, you're reading right, I've decided to review again! So, sit back and, read the wonderful review of Crystal Cannon II by hydroix1. This game changed the way I think about featured PPG games by unknown users. I didn't mean that in a good way, hehe. Anyway, go get a cup of tea, some biscuits and sit down to read this review.

Gameplay

I have one thing to say - it has that weird slow-gravity bug that Roblox does when you blast a house with a rocket launcher. Firing rocks out of cannons is an unoriginal subject, but has been refined and polished by hydroix1. And to think - such a guy like him who makes typical noob games can make such a good game with such awesome gameplay. Oh yeah, I drifted off there. The idea of the game is to escort crystals using flimsy rocks to a blue swirly portal. Seems easy, right? You're wrong. It's actually very difficult to guide the rocks to knock down stone towers. It's like fire and fire, but the opposite. It, at some times, feels like a theme-change of Angry Birds, as the crystals are Pigs, Rocks are Birds, and the Stone Slabs are the wooden towers. But, it's still not bad! It has enough other things to liven it up. There is a few drawbakcs, though, worth entioning. It's impossible to complete the game if the crystals go off the map edge. The solution to this would be for all crystals - when one of them go out of bounds, lose a life.

Scenery

One word. GLOOM. Yes, that's is right, it is very gloomy in this game. Or that's what I think. The background it so grey, the whole scenes look medieval, it's all taking effect, agh! The stones look really nice. So does the crystals. And most other things too. The only bad thing about it is that it lacks variety. You kind of get bored from seeing the old greys and pinks and blacks, blues and greens. I mean, come on. You don't have to do the entire Sceptile intro, but at least add some muted colors, like burgandy, navy blue, camo, etc.

Puzzles

Not much here, for puzzles. If you consider utter torturing difficulty and cruelty of complete incompletionability then yes, we have great puzzles here at Crystal Cannon II. The main problem in this game is it's sheer difficulty. Games like this don't usually get good scores. I made a game called "Dungeon of Rawr". It was voted on the Sploder Forums most difficult but completable game of the year. no one really liked it. So, I'm not very sure about this game either. Back to puzzles. This game has barely any puzzly bits in it. At most, figuring out how to aim the boulders/rocks. Bad marks here!

Placement

I hate you, mouse! You stole my cheese D: Just kidding. The mouse of Sir hydroix1 really bugged me. I didn't really favour on the placement. It got really annoying, and caused me not to get any further than level 3. That was really annoying, so I ragequit. On most of my tries, the crystals just sit there while I hopelessly lob rocks at platforms in hope of them giving way and the crystals falling. I really got bored because of this disgusting placement, and decided to make this paragraph short and snappy. Maybe snappy, but not terribly short. The placement could be compared to something like "captur teh cristel" or "imposibel". Ikr? Bad. This game isn't turning out quite well... But do not fret, readers! Time for...

The Ratings! :D

We shall be scoring our 4 paragraphs on a scale on 5.

Gameplay: _____/_____

Scenery: ___/_____

Puzzles: ___/_____

Placement: 0/_____

Overall Rating:

__.8/_____:

Not a terribly bad game, but not a good game. This was featured? Curse you editors!11!!11 I thought I possibly couldn't give this any more than 2.5/5. I found enough good for this game, and although the four scores were terribly varied, I gave this a 2.8/5. I don't use a program to determine the outcome, I simply estimate it myself. So, hope you enjoyed a review! Here's a cookie for reading.
