Have you ever heard of PC game SPORE? its a game were you start as a cell then evolve in to a stronger race. You can custamize your monsters any way you want. you go throygh the microscopic stage, the monster stag, the tribe stage, then the city stage then the space stage. this just is a closer look of spore if u havent heard of it before.
