Introduction

Hola mis amigos. Usted no habla espaol? Okay then, I guess I have to speak in English. Let's start over.

Hello my friends, welcome to my first review since being accepted (first try!), today I'll be reviewing Reaching Tasmania 2 by paq, a member who has 2 features to his name as well as the Reviewer badge. Having played his games when he first joined, I realized he had potential so I decided to keep him on my radar and play each game he makes and this one looked the most interesting.

Prethoughts

Having played each of his games, I was expecting this to have decent decoration, good puzzles, traps and action. I was expecting something good. Let's see if he met the expectations.

Review

The enemy placement was really good, the game wasn't always right in your face nor did it have long waits to see an enemy. I also think the amount of enemies was generally good but at points was a bit pants.

The health and power up placement was major let-down. Paq created the game so there wasn't a challenge to get to the health/power up, it was just put on a plate and fed to you. As well as the placement being pretty bleep poor, the amount he gave us was far, far to much. There was literally a form of health around every bloody corner! He put in so much health and I completed the game using only one mega health and a few normal health packs and I barely need them to be honest. The game was far to easy for that reason.

The mechanics in the game were simple but he pulled them off very well and made them look better than they really are. xD I say this because he used the mechanics for the larger part of the game and it was timed to perfection. It is fairly simple, what Paq did, just a small ship activating and deactivating switch polys in a loop. The outcome was the pathway or whatever you call it was blacked off, then it wasn't and you'd need to get onto it before it changed and you'd need to keep going forward until you get to where you need to be. Like I said, fairly simple yet amazing (and annoying!). However, the mechanics unfortunately weren't discovered by Paq, they were discovered be the shooter master, Defensified. Shame that it wasn't original. :(

Probably the largest let down of the game, puzzles. Reaching Tasmania 2 barely had any puzzles whereas most of Paq's other games include loads of puzzles. Not only did this game have barely any puzzles but the ones included weren't original, were small and somewhat rubbish. .-.

In my opinion, the story line was the best thing about the game, it makes sense, it's original and it leads on from game to game. But the game doesn't fit the story, you'll know what I mean if you've played the game. I won't tell y'all as I don't want to spoil it so play the game for yourself and find out.

Feature Worthy?

No. It wasn't original, too easy and felt rushed - which it was as he didn't have much time to do it in, so in that case it's not as bad as it would've been had it been like this with a lot of time. It was also pretty boring.
