You are a citizen of a city with a ruler, and this ruler is not a good leader. He mistreats citizens and does not accept to good wars that this city could of easily won. His reign is symbolized by a crystal that he locked up, and hired guards to guard it, so nobody else could take over as ruler. You know you could be a better ruler, and you want to make the innocent citizens suffer no longer, so you decide to try to obtain the crystal. And, if you do, the people will recognize your strength and bravery, and make you their new ruler
