Unknown Quest is a game created by spencerrocks

Introduction:

Hi, BlueDeathRay back with my 4th review. I am reviewing this game because it’s Spencerrocks birthday present! I am reviewing Unknown Quest, Whoopee! It’s also my birthday too! That’s right, November 8th, and this is when COD MW3 comes out so I am going to stay up until midnight to get that. Anyways he posted this game if it could be reviewed for his birthday present in BDR Reviews, and so as a person that has the same birthday as me, I decided to review this game.

Pre-Thoughts:

I had a few suspicions of this game. One of them was that I haven’t played any of his games before and I didn’t know how good it would be. I was expecting a good game that he put a lot of time into because those kinds of games are usually review-worthy (sometimes even feature worthy). Besides what I already stated I didn’t know what to expect. This guy is a new creator for me and I am a new reviewer for him, so we don’t really know what to expect. I gave this a little more thought, because I would be charging straight into a game that I don’t even know much about, but I got over that little figment of my thoughts and played the game.

Thumbnail:

The thumbnail looked very plain, which didn’t come with much of a shock. I haven’t played his games before but many people choose a very basic design, which to me lowers their score in the feature worthy section, but I decided to go along with it. If he did this on purpose then it might make this game more enjoyable, so I went along with it and played the game.

Gameplay:

Gameplay was good, not good enough to be great, but just good. I will say it briefly here and more detail later in the review but this game is not feature worthy. I would have to say though; this game is a maze and definitely has a challenge, because nobody has beaten it, even me. I got really close to the end, but then I died, because of the mass of enemies (also will talk about later). The game in a gist is a good game with some creative twists but is not a game that’s good enough to have a feature

Review:

Okay, so this game doesn’t have a story, and that’s going to hurt his score in the “story” section in my ratings. I’m not going into much detail into this paragraph because I am talking about the story but as I just said there is no story. If I had to make up a story I would be in a cave that is inhabited by demons with hammers (Thors) that you have to pass to make it to your treasure. That’s why that I wish there was a story so I don’t have to make one up myself.

The enemies were placed great, but had flaws. One of them was that there was a mass of enemies. There were too many enemies and this fact put this game down. I wanted a game to be challenging but this one goes overboard with the challenging part. It’s so hard that nobody beat it, and I think that he should edit it to make it a little easier because come on, 12 Thors is too much when you have your basic sword and shield and that’s all, so the enemy placement has to be more realistic to make this game way better.

The Power ups were no offence, but a horrible aspect of this game. He put an extra life and that’s it, only an extra life. How am I supposed to beat 12 Thors with a wimpy sword, shied, and one extra life? You got to be kidding me I have to do that? Totally unrealistic unless all you do in your life is play platformer games on Sploder. This game is too hard for my taste and there were not enough power ups.

The Block placement in my perspective is good, because it has a big game without it being the lag-iest game in the world, which I praise since my computer is going bad and every time I go on Sploder the games get more lag, which really su.cks because I hate lag in my games (who doesn’t lol). The placement made the game challenging, but not too much, so this part of the game wasn’t bad.

The maze is great, but needs improving. The whole game is basically a block, which is amazing, but needs to be improved. I wish it was more of a maze, because all you do is go back and forth and he uses the same traps over and over again, so after a little while I knew all of the different traps which you never want in a game, but it happened anyways. I wish it didn’t, but it did.

Positives:

The block placement was good, and there was virtually no lag, which is awesome for such a big game. The block placement is basically the only good thing about this game, and I am so sorry spencerrocks because this is your birthday but this game needs a lot of improving before anyone can even think of featuring this game

Negatives:

There were too many enemies, not enough power ups for the mass of enemies, a better maze and more of a variety of maps. Spencerrocks is you are reading this you have to make a lot of changes to this game, seriously man you need to change it but otherwise than the lack of stuff, the idea of this game was good.

Feature Worthy?

No. This game is not feature worthy because stated above ^^^. There are too many enemies in a too confined area and not enough weapons to power yourself through this game, so that I could see all of it (even though I was 3 centimeters away from the crystal). This game is not feature worthy and I think he knows it.

Ratings (out of 5 and if a overall score of 4.5 or higher to me feature worthy):

Story: 0/_____

Block placement: ____.5/_____

Maze: ___/_____

Traps: _.5/_____

Power up placement: _/_____

Enemy placement: __.5/_____

Overall: _/_____

Conclusion:

This game is not feature worthy, and no offence, but maybe not even review worthy. To find the overall score of a game I find the mean. What that is it’s the average of everything. So I add up all the scores and divide by how many things I graded the game on, so in this case, 6. My answer was one. This game was a good game but needs a lot of improving. Thanks for reading my 4th Review on the Main Site!
