Introduction:

Hey, BlueDeathRay back with my 6th review. I’m shooting for editor so I am going to try to make this review really good, feedback please on this epic review of Flight 93 by Shadross. Shadross is an epic buddy and has been my friend on sploder for a long time. I have quite a history of being friends with Shadross so I decided I owe him something so I thought; “What the heck, maybe a review!”

Pre-Thoughts:

Shadross is a really good Platformer game maker, and makes sure there are no little shortcuts to make it so you get a time of like 14 seconds. I was expecting to be flying around a lot, smashing into walls wherever I go, but I could see the burst tiles in the thumbnail, which I will speak about later. The description was said to be about 9-11, which made me remember of 9-11. Anyways, I thought this game was going to be amazingly awesome, have a story which makes me happy, and just overall I thought I was going to have a good time.

Thumbnail:

The picture looked exciting, and made it look kind of cool. It looked like I was in a plane that was falling right out of the sky, just like 9-11. There was a beautiful sky behind me, looking like my box head was going to deform from the sheer speed, and made it look awesome, yet, I knew since the game was about 9-11, it would be a depressing game that would make me want to cry, of the memories I had of 9-11.

Gameplay:

The gameplay was okay, there was really no game, but there’s a lot to write about. There was an amazing story to this, but made me remember “the day.” It made me remember of the history of 9-11, and of the brave heros that fought against the Al-Qaeda. There was no lag, had amazing décor and a lot of stuff.

Review:

There’s two levels to this game, so I will talk about level 1 now:

Level 1:

The block placement was amazing. There were burst tiles to symbolize the plane crashing down, going to kill everyone inside it. There were generals talking you into helping get a hold of the plane controls and that it was now or never, and there were different blocks to symbolize different parts of the plane, and it all came crashing down on me.

The decoration looked like the inside of an airplane, and even decoration that looked like controls for the airplane at the front like a driver’s splodepit. The enemies (which I will talk in more detail later), fit into the design of the game, and made it so that it made me think that I was in an airplane that was crashing down and was planned by the Al-Qaeda to hit the white house.

The enemies were good, there were only like 4 enemies, but it was still good. It was kind of un-realistic though because he used minions and mercenaries, when I myself would use stuff like thugs to represent the Al-Qaeda. He placed them well so they weren’t too hard. But, the first time I tried this game I couldn’t beat it because he placed a minion shoved into a little corner and if you don’t wait for it to move it will fall out, thus making the first level impossible.

There was no maze, which really splodeed because it’s pretty straight forward and there are no mazes or traps. It had nothing to surprise me or make me jump besides the burst tiles that I didn’t expect (there were other burst tiles other than in the thumbnail). There were no traps like there would be in a plane, so I was kind of disappointed.

Level 2:

In level 2, there isn’t much to talk about. All you do is fall out of the sky in the airplane, get a crystal, and then land in lava after mission accomplished. It was decorative but had the same décor as before, there were no enemies, and basically the second level stimulated you crashing from the airplane, it was a short second level.

Positives:

There were a few positives, and here they are. The game had an interesting motive, and had some enemies, instead of a totally noobis game that has nothing but an escape pod whatsoever. It was a short not challenging game that was still awesome and brought back so many memories. That’s what’s positive about this game.

Negatives:

There were some negatives as well, such as not being challenging, or a game that I expected because I was hoping for a challenging game, but instead, I god a game that brought back memories that made me feel emotions for this game that I will never forget. I loved this game, and there weren’t a lot of negatives.

Ratings:

Story: ___.5/_____

Enemy placement: ___/_____

Block placement: ____.5/_____

Mazes/Traps: _/_____

Overall: ___/_____

Feature Worthy?

No this game is not feature worthy, but is a good game that really helped me with a few personal memories, and helped me understand some new things. This game brought a whole new reality to 9-11, and made me very proud to review this game, but it’s definitely not feature worthy.

Conclusion:

This game was fun, brought back old memories, helped me get over them in a new, exciting way, and helped me re-evaluate life. I loved this game, and I think that if you are a witness of 9-11, you should play this game. This concludes my 6th review.
