The Fort is a game created by electrucution

Hello and welcome to another WellDone review. Yep, that's right, WellDone Reviews is back from a short break to pone some more (looks like jfurey14 will have to eat his words, if he is even old enough to know what that means).

Anyways, today I will be reviewing The Fort, by electrucution. Electrucution has OK games of his, so let's see if this raises my opinion of his.

Well, when you start this game, you get a butt-load of weapons and power-ups. That is exactly what ruins most games, because it makes it too easy, but hey, I have seen some- ahem- actually one get away with it. As I went on through the game, I found more weapon doubles. So, my question is, why didn't electrucution use ammo instead of doubles? So as I'm just mowing through tons of badly placed enemies I notice a counter clicking in the top left. Oh look, the mission is to kill... all... ~sixty-two~... enemies. Now, without a storyline, this game just lost all interest I had in it before. Ugh... all this is turning out to be is a noob's paradise of mass-killing. Well, I suppose I'll go in-depth on several subjects now.

Oh yes, something I forgot to mention: lag. The lag in this game was annoying! It wasn't extremely laggy, but just enough to the point where the enemies could get several cheap shots in and you couldn't do ~anything~. AAAAGH! The fire troll got a shot in- and what was my character doing while I kept pressing the UP button? NOTHING. ABSO-freaking-LUTELY NOTHING. (takes a deep breath)

So, now onto all the amazing traps and puzzles this game has. No, I'm kidding, there were none. Really though, electrucution, if you want your games to be good, you'll have to put some of these into your games. Maybe, uh, put a weapon over a lava pit, I don't know but DO SOMETHING! Traps and puzzles really would've spruced up this game and heightened my opinion of both it and it's creator.

You can pretty much guess what I have to say about enemy placement. ~It was as bad as a clown honking, and as bad as this joke~. Enemies were lined up in small hallways, and no care was given to what surroundings would've been best so that you couldn't just mow through. Without all the weapons you get, though, it would've been impossible to win. Bad placement compliments each other, I think?

That brings me to power-up placement, which could've been greatly³ improved just like the enemy placement (greatly to the power of 3, that is). Basically all the power-ups were in one area, with the exception of doubles used just for ammo. Come on, electrucution, I know you can do better than this. Put some effort into it and test it a lot! I'm not even sure whether or not this game was ever tested.

The only part of this game that was kinda cool was the scenery, which kept changing but not too crazily. It was stuff I see a lot, though, the 2x2 decoration panels. It was the only thing that made this game a little interesting, but wasn't enough to redeem it. Sorry electrucution, but you should've worked a little harder on The Fort.
