Welcome to another one of my reviews and as you can see I'm reviewing Darkness by gamekid2011. I've never played a game by gamekid2011 so I have no idea what his game will be like. And no, I don't think how "mature" a user is on the forums has an impact on the game. The thumbnail looks pretty decent though, and I think it's the one that stood out the most out of all the platformers gamekid2011. Why platformers? Because that's my favourite game creator. Now lets get on with the review.

Darkness is a fun, and kind of adventurous, game based in the darkness. That's why it's called "Darkness" I'd imagine. However, I don't think Darkness is the best of game titles to be honest. It's kind of a boring and dull name for a game. Maybe it could be called something like "The Dark Tomb" or something. I don't know, but I'm not going to spend ages thinking of a good title of a game.

Now let me start off by talking about how fun this game is. I think that this game is fun because you don't have to keep stopping for puzzles and there's no lag. It's a type of game where you going the whole time. There were a couple of times where I was like "Where's the switch?" But it didn't take me long to find out where it is, so that's fine.

Next let me talk about why this could be an adventure game as well. It's because you go around different places exploring for keys and switches. Maybe if it had more and longer levels with a different setting each time, it could be classed as an adventure game. But I think Darkness is more of a fun, action packed game really, but it has a bit of an adventure feel to it.

This game doesn't have any enemies in it, but it has hazards. Now you might be thinking it'll be easy, but actually, it's not that simple. There were enough hazards built into challenging positions and the game didn't have any health in either. And when I won the game, I almost ran out of a health. That's when you know there's the perfect amount of challenge, because you don't want to make a game too difficult or too easy.

I think I've been through every category in the game now, so lets go to the ratings.

Overall, I'd say this is a 5/5 with no exaggeration intended. If this game was longer and more levels, I can't see why it shouldn't be featured. A great game, I certainly recommend you give it a go, and if you continue to make good games gamekid but with more length, then you might get a featured game one day.
