Game: Genius

Maker: mat7772

Type: Classic Shooter

Hey everyone! Dudki is back with another review. This time I have decided to try something new and review a Classic Shooter by a member you all probably know. Mat7772, also known as Matty. Honestly, I have never been a big fan of shooter games. I think most of them are too difficult and also a bit more boring than games by the other creators. However, Genius by mat7772 was a really well-made shooter game that I really enjoyed and thought deserved some more attention.

I've seen alot of pretty neat thumbnails from shooter games. You can make some amazing artwork using this creator, but the thumbnail og Genius is honestly very boring. It didn't catch my interest at all. I know Matty has some amazing skills when it comes to shooters, and I believe he could have made a pretty nice thumbnail.

Genius is one of the best puzzle-shooters that I've ever played. It contains so many new things, and each puzzle requires you to think about your next move, which I absolutely love about this game. I have before seen Matty's skills in shooter games, but I think this one stands out from the rest.

The overall map layout was pretty good. Matty usually does a great job in making the map for his shooter games, and especially for this game, the way the map was layed out was crucial for some of the puzzles to work properly.

Genius also features minor artwork which I have always really liked about shooter games. Some of the artwork people can make are amazing, and Matty knows how to make the map look good. It wasn't hyper-detailed though, and could have used a bit more work but overall, it was fine.

This wasn't really an action game, although, it did contain a little bit of action. There were boss battles and enemies to fight alongside the puzzle-solving, which was very good. I like when different aspects are mixed together and the game doesn't only have one thing.

The puzzles were the focal point of this game. The entirety of Genius consisted around puzzles, and was what the most of the game. What I like about the puzzles of this game was that most of them were very unique. I was very surprised with how creative the puzzles were, and they really made this game so much better.

The placement of this game was perfect, in my opinion. The way each puzzle worked required the placement to be just right. Matty did a great job on this, and I didn't see anything badly placed in Genius, and I'm really impressed by that.

Gameplay: The overall gameplay was good. A very nice and unique puzzle game.

Map Layout: The map was nicely layed out, and was part of what made the puzzles so good.

Action: I like how there was room for a little action in this game, considering it was a puzzle-shooter.

Puzzles: This game contained some excellent and well thought out puzzles.

Placement: Some amazing placement in this game. Very impressive.

Thumbnail: Pretty boring thumbnail. I honestly believe this could have been done better.

Artwork: Low amounts of artwork was presented in this game. A little dissapointing.

Gameplay: 4/5

Difficulty: 4/5

Map Layout: 4/5

Artwork: 2/5

Action: 3/5

Puzzles: 5/5

Placement: 5/5

Lag: 0.5/5

Creativity: 4/5

Overall: 4/5

I think this game deserves a 4/5 in overall rating. This game stood out from most shooter games that I've played, and was one of the very few shooter games that I actually enjoyed alot. This game is a great example of how amazing Matty is at game-making. Good work.

Genius is definitely feature-worthy. No question there. It is a very nice puzzle-shooter and I really enjoyed playing it. This game is Genius. See what I did there?
