Pre-thoughts

While taking a glimpse at the featured page one day, I came across a Star Wars game. The mere fact that someone have created a game based on the Star Wars saga immediately caught my interest and I thought to myself that I just had to give this game a go. There were no other alternative. I mean, you couldn't just skip it right? In case you didn't know, deathwarrant83 was the creator of this game, called Revenge of the Sith 1.1. At the time this game was featured, Death had already had his first feature, and because of that, he has become a well-known PPG and Graphic maker.

Another thing which really caught my interest when seeing this game on the featured page, was how beatifully polished the thumbnail looks. As I mentioned before, Death is an amazing graphical artist, and a great example of his work is shown in the thumbnail. My expectations for this game where very high.

Review

In Revenge of the Sith 1.1 you play as Darth Manicus in his mission to rule the world as a Sith Lord. The gameplay in this game was done extremely well. There's so many different things and challenges that you will have to face before you can complete your mission, and I think they were executed very well. The difficulty of Revenge of the Sith 1.1 isn't too hight though, and that can useful for the less experienced players, but for people like me who like a little challenge, this game just doesn't give me exactly as I hoping for.

Revenge of the Sith 1.1 didn't focus entirely on puzzles. That being said, a few levels did actually feature some puzzles. Some of these could actually be quite tricky, taking some time for you to figure out how to do it. In some levels you will also need to look closely at your surroundings and use the force to help you do certain tasks. Very creative and it suits the Star Wars theme very well.

Revenge of the Sith 1.1 features many hazards that you will have to face, and especially in the beginning. Normally when you make a game, you'll make sure to start off easy, and make it harder as you progress. But in this case, the first few levels are actually the hardest in my opinion. The space is tight and you'll constantly be having things shooting and attacking you. On the other hand, I believe that Death hasn't place enough enemies in the rest of the levels, making the rest of Revenge of the Sith 1.1 a little too easy in my opinion.

Now let's talk about the scenery of Revenge of the Sith 1.1 One thing that really stands out in this game from every other PPG out there, is the amount of graphical work put into it. Deathwarrant has made a graphic-only game, with every single object being a graphic that he made himself. This gives the game an astonishing look, and allows Revenge of the Sith 1.1 to be so much more different from other games on the site. Very nicely done. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say here.

Now enough positives, One flaw about this game I found was at the placement. I honestly think that it could use a bit of re-work, and there a couple of reasons for this. In a few levels I found myself getting stuck multiple times, which may be caused by the amount of movable objects in the game, and the many blocks that Revenge of the Sith 1.1 contains. It wasn't a problem for most of the levels, but I still did find it pretty annoying when it happened, as it also slowed me down, and made going through the levels more difficult than it would have been.

Pros/Cons

Pros:

Thumbnail: Deathwarrant83 chose the perfect thumbnail to represent his game. It really grabs your interest, and makes you want to check it out.

Gameplay: Apart from the difficulty, the overall gameplay was actually quite well done, and that saved the score.

Puzzles: The game does feature puzzles in a few levels, and some of these puzzles were really creative and fun.

Cons:

Hazards: Most of the levels didn't feature enough hazards to add enough challenge to the game, thus resulting in a flaw.

Placement: Good placement at times, but there's also certain parts needing a bit of additional work to them.

So here is our epic and final conclusion of Revenge of the Sith 1.1. Great game. It was a lot of fun playing through. While having some flaws, Death still did an excellent job and it's very creative.

Feature-worthy?

As it has already been featured, I can only say thanks to whoever featured it. Clearly they have a good taste in games, because Revenge of the Sith 1.1 was definitely worth the feature. Give the game a go if you haven't already, it's very intriguing.
