Samus continued running through the swamp away from the newly-bred kio metroids....the new Kio Metroids could survive on land and some were stronger than others. Samus began to wonder why she hadnt encountered many Metroids other than in the swamp. Suddenly Samus heard a large explosion and she predicted that it was happening near the strange light. Samus arrived at the source of the explosions only to find Connor being attacked by 5 commando pirates. Immediatly Samus ran up behind one of the Space Pirates and shoved her gun onto its chest and blew it up. The other Pirates noticed Samus and they began to also fire at her. Samus quick-dodged all of their attackes and she killed them with attacks from her powerbeam. (Connor) " Thank you Samus i may be a Chozo Guardian but im not invinceable." (Samus) " Your welcome....what were the Space Pirates trying to do?" (Connor) " They were trying to go get into this Sacred area without the jem that allows you to go through the barrier. Samus i have some bad news, the Metroids have started reproducing and more and more have started appearing. We didnt believe that Metroids could survive down here but we were wrong. It also appears that the Metroids can easily go through the barriers without the jems. They are inside this TOWER." (Samus) "......Okay i've dealt with Metroids before and i can handle them but without the Railgun they are very difficult to kill.' (Connor) " You are very brave Samus." Connor once again opened up a portal that would send Samus into Triple X.(Connor) " Good luck Samus, remember the jems hidden within Triple X are the only things that will grant you access to the Sacred areas." Samus then entered the portal into Triple X.
