Onto the Review, you probably figured it out by now that I am reviewing Impact by Paradon. I know Paradon, briefly, he is the head of the Reviewing department at this moment, so naturally I know of him since I am a Reviewer. Paradon is a member with a lot of features, 28 to be exact and this game is one of them. By taking a brief glimpse of the thumbnail, Paradon decided to do something slightly unique and attracting, a fake thumbnail, with the phrase "Bam!" within it. Seems to make sense, Impact and Bam..

Impact starts off with a cheeky message, "If you're reading this, you might want to refresh" or something of the like. I look up to see my way out of the first area closed. A clever little puzzle involving a wingman going through teleporters, opening the switch poly for a split second and then closing. Sure enough, I refreshed.

This time I fared further into the game, what I found an important strategy/tactic, was using your weapons to good use, often you were confronted with puzzles, but enemies were placed well and rushing wouldn't do me any good. Think through my weapons, bombs, bots, missiles, pellets. I didn't want to get too close to the enemies in case I'd need that health later on, that's just the start of unpredictability that Impact contains.

Using my laser was sometimes out of reach if I continued using my stealth tactic, but sometimes, you'd be forced into battle. Traps and puzzles were well designed, as well as how they were executed.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and thought that paradon produced a masterpiece here, a fine piece of work. The design was maze-like, objects with a messy sort of feel as your hallways, I like it, it's quite artistic if you think about it. The addition of polys were very nice just to add a touch more to the game's look, I thought the yellow field matched the game very well.

The enemy placement as I said previously was very good, sometimes easy to bypass and use your weapons, but at the same time, if you're forced to go stealth like, that's luring you into more traps, and a puzzle in itself. What I mean by this, is if you use up your lesser weapons so quickly, and this game is in fact as unpredictable as it seems, who's to say you won't need those later on? You have a limit, you know.

Those other times, pushers, still working magnets and other tools really, in the end, forced you to go all out in a battle. The enjoyment in this game was right up there, this is why I love the Shooter creator.

Overall: ____/_____

Feature Worthy?

Impact by paradon earned itself a feature, but was it deserved? Heck yes, the game had puzzles, action, and enjoyment with a nice design, that's feature worthy in my eyes.
