Wetland Fight is a game created by glaba

After reviewing Frequent Defeat 2 just now, I felt like reviewing one more. I looked through the Featured list once again and saw Wetland Fight. Looking at the preview image I thought, "This game has to be bad. Guess I'll play it and flame it..." Turns out this game isn't as bad as I expected.

In this platformer you start out having to go through a portal, move a little to the side to get a key, and then entering the wetlands. The intro to this game is horrible, I'm sorry to say. I wouldn't be suprised if 50% of the players got bored in the first 15 seconds. But if you stick around you see a delightfully laid out wetland. As you continue through the game you receive tips, and are told a story about the wetlands and how you must save them. glaba, the maker of the game, must really like bats because he/she uses at least 30 in the first part of the game. You travel through tunnels, jump from platforms and as always, kill enemies to protect the wetlands.

The scenery of this game is well done, but as you progress further into the game it becomes dull. The beginning, where you fight a large number of bats, is fun, not too challenging and keeps the player playing. glaba hooked me in with the cool scenery and fun beginning. The rest of the game is similar, although I found waiting for the elevators extremely annoying. There aren't many more distinguishable pros to this game.

Now comes the cons! Yay! I got bored rather fast. After falling all the way down and having to wade through the wetlands, travel underground, and climb back up a thousand times I got pretty angry. The game also looks empty. After you start climbing Wetland Fight loses all the personality it started out with.

Suggestion: Make the painfulness of starting over less. Also, make your games have scenery that doesn't disappear halfway through. Make everything continuous.

Wetland Fight is worth a play, so play it.
