Parking Challenge II is a game created by dudki

Hey guys, I don't know if you remember me, but I left for a year, and now I'm back. Me and PotatoMash closed |^:HardMash:^| before I left, so I applied for [STAR] and got accepted. But let's just get to the review now.

Today I'll be reviewing Parking Challenge II by Dudki.

Completion Time: Not Completed (Got to level 6/8)

Well most of you guys have probably already played the featured Parking Challenge game by Dudki. This is the second edition. Personally, I thought the first Parking Challenge game could've been improved quite a bit, so before I started playing this game, I was expecting it to be better than the first version.

Let's start off with the thumbnail as I always did... I think. The thumbnail showed a simple aerial view of a parking lot and a road. I couldn't have expected it to be more interesting than that could I have? I mean, it's just a game where you have to park the car. So that's a good start.

Objective was simple. We had to park a car. I've played many games where we have to do that, but none have impressed me. But this game was brilliant. Dudki took advantage of the things he was given in the PPG maker, and used them in such a way to make this. Even though the objective was simple, he made the game so nearly everyone would like it.

To make the game more interesting, Dudki added some obstacles. Hitting parked cars, moving cars and pedestrians would all make you lose the level. This was what turned the game, from a boring, easy one, into a fun, challenging one. But at sometimes, I was convinced that this game was over the top with the obstacles. Sometimes I thought there was too much oncoming traffic, and I only managed to get through it by luck. At times I had to remind myself that this game is possible, considering Dudki won it 3 times. But it may be that Dudki was able to complete it because he was the creator, and knew how to successfully complete it.

Scenery was very good. Much better than the scenery of the first Parking Challenge. The car graphics were more detailed, and made the game more realistic. There wasn't much that could've been worked on here. Roads, sidewalks, trees, and cars. That's pretty much it, and they were all quite realistic. That's all I have to say about that.

The block and enemy (pedestrians and cars) placement was pretty good. It was quite obvious that cars would be placed on the road, or in parking lots, and pedstrians, on the sidewalk or crossing the road. Dudki placed them like that so that wasa job well done. The pedestrians which were crossing the road also made the game more challenging. Just like in real life. But, as I mentioned earlier, I thought he may have added too many cars spawning at wrong times.

I'm adding this extra paragraph for this game specifically. It's about the controls. In the first Parking Challenge, I found the controls very hard. But Dudki fixed that in Parking Challenge 2. Although it was still quite hard to control the car, it was an improvement of Parking Challenge. But things like the car rotating 360 degrees without moving forward are just not possible to fix in Sploder, so I can't say much on that.

-Placement of Blocks and Enemies

-Consequences of crashing into obstacles

Scenery: 4.5/5 - Maybe including some more extra details like lamposts may earn you the last .5 mark.

Action: N/A

Puzzles and Traps: N/A

Creativity: 4/5 - The idea wasn't exactly amazing, but the way you created it improved this score.

Block Placement: 5/5 - Everything was in place, and nothing seemed to stick out.

Enemy Placement: 3.5/5 - I counted the amount of enemies into this, which decreased the score. In my opinion, there were too many enemies coming at wrong times.

Health and Power-Ups: N/A

Overall: 4.25/5

Definetly. If Parking Challenge was featured, this should be as well, as it is an improved version of Parking Challenge. Dudki showed great skill by making a game with a simple concept, into a challenging game.

How could this be improved?:

One thing I thought would make this game much better was decreasing the amount of oncoming traffic. But it may be that I've just lost my skill in playing PPGs. It could've been improved by changing the consequences of crashing into cars or pedestrians. I thought that making us lose the game made it quite hard, and turning it into a penalty would make it easier. Maybe allow 1 penalty for the easy levels, and 2-3 for hard ones. But that's just my opinion. Again, it could be that I'm just rubbish at PPGs.

Thanks for reading my review!
