Pre thoughts

I haven't played too many platformer games by staylor... wonder if this will be good.

Game play

Well, it was good. Good power up placement, good enemy placement (For the most part) and good traps.

There are a lot of good things, so I don't know where to start. I guess I'll start with the map. Staylor did a good job with it, he put crystals all around the map so you have to go to every nook and cranny to get them. Also you backtrack a lot, it's not just a straightforward game where you only go one direction the whole time.

The second thing is that the enemy placement was good. But one thing I noticed was he put a snarley in tiles to try and damage you when you pass it, but he put the snarly too far into the tiles so it couldn't hurt you at all, which wasn't good placement.

The third thing I will review about is the traps. There a quite a few traps and they're pretty good. Like the one where if you fall in the lava, there's a checkpoint there so you respawn in the lava.

The last thing is that some of the crystals were pretty easy to get. Make some of them a challenge, like maybe get a grapple powerup and try to swing and get the crystal with the lava underneath.

Pro's

-Good traps

-Good enemy placement. (the one snarly isn't going to make a difference.)

-Nice use of map

Con's

Some crystals were easy to get.

Suggestions

Add some more frustrating things like bats and stuff. It was already pretty frustrating with the good traps so if you added some other things that frustrate people it could be a frustrating game for players to play.
