Sniper is a game created by futuremillionare

Introduction

Well, as you all know, Futuremillionare is a great game maker with a total of 14 games featured. Today, I will be reviewing arguably his most popular game published, Sniper. A FPS puzzle game which involves thinking and precision.

Review

I usually would never talk about a thumbnail in a review, but, this is an exception. The thumbnail for Sniper is by far, my favorite thumbnail on sploder. The thumbnail caught my attention the moment I saw it. It is mysterious, intriguing and very visually appealing. Judging the fact that good ppg thumbnails are quite hard to make, Futuremillionare completely proved me wrong. He showed great artwork and used simple objects to make a captivating image. Alright, enough about the thumbnail, lets get on with the gameplay.

The game play in this FPS is quite original from other sploder sniper games. Futuremillionare came up with his own take on what a sniper game could be. Instead of just shooting your target, you actually have to find ways to kill your target without shooting him. For example, in one of the levels, you need to shoot a tree so it can fall on your target, instead of just shooting the target directly. Each level is a puzzle, which makes the game very enjoyable. Although, at first it might be a little frustrating, because you need to have an observant eye to spot out the objects that stand out (which are usually the ones you have to shoot). Another aspect of the game that might be frustrating, is that for certain levels, it's more a guess and check game then a puzzle game. Which might be a throw off for some people, but I found the trial and error levels a way of mixing up the game play and making it a bit more challenging. Sniper is a fairly hard game, but one of the issues I noticed after playing this game, is that the levels get a little boring. The game is great until around the sixth level, where you notice how it's the same thing every time except with different objects. Don't get me wrong, this is a great game. But once you beat the game, you can't really play it again and enjoy it, because you already know where everything is.

Futuremillionare also shows great visual appeal in his game. He chose a very elegant and simple color scheme to portray the setting. He chose to use the colors white, black and red. These colors give the game a spy or James bond kind of feel to it, even the music has a spy feel to go along with the visual. The artwork and level design in this game is quite appealing as well. Futuremillionare has a variety of perspectives which keeps the level design fresh and fun. The levels are in 3D but, he made every level unique because each level has a different vanishing point. Therefor, you have a different point of view on each time. The level design is also very efficient, because by keeping the art simple, it removes any lag you would get in a complex game. The game runs very smoothly, which is a plus because if it had lag, it would be very annoying playing this game over and over again with lag.

Something I noticed is that the game is a bit questionable. Why am I shooting random people in random settings? If this game had a storyline, it would be much more interesting to play. The game is more of a Minigame without a story. Yes, before you play each level you get words that hint where you are or what you're doing, but that isn't enough. This game can have more potential, but without a story its limited. To be completely honest, I still find this game great without the story and I'm not too disapointed that there isn't a storyline.

Conclusion:

Overall, I must say this game would make my top favorite games on sploder. It is, fun, challenging, visually appealing and very original. It may have a few flaws but, the pros outweigh the cons and at the end of the day, this is probably the best FPS game on sploder yet. I rate this game an overall mark of 4/5 and would strongly recommend you to play it.
