If you did mission 11, then you saw that the crystals were poorly guarded. In mission 12, they are hidden beneath the machines. You must destroy all 5 machines, without getting killed, and retrive the crystals. Note that these machines get harder to defeat as you go, but they are no match for your aircraft.(I hope)
