Achluophobia is a game that I would call "A diamond in the rough". This magnificent game was made for EGD a couple of years ago, and I've always been in love with it. Ogglee276 made a few hype threads for this game, and this was the only game I actually literally trembled because I was so excited about it. He didn't release many demos, so what we got at the release is the sealed deal. So, let's get into a few reasons why this game stands out to me.

I was the only one to beat this game for a long time. With that being said, I know what I'm talking about because I saw the whole game. This game was exceptionally long and filled with action and puzzle. The action stood out to me more than anything else. The enemy placement was fantastic and each enemy was placed where it should have been. Another feature that caught my eye was the puzzles. The puzzles were mostly all new and kept my brain going and active throughout the play-through. I really like the scenery too. Whenever there was a torch here and there, it illuminated a beautiful background of vibrant colors and decorations. All of these factors tie around each other and just produce an amazing game in which anyone could enjoy and have fun playing.

Speaking of torches, there was mostly always darkness. The darkness fit perfectly along with the story-line, which is one of the main factors of this game. The factors of "fear of darkness" and the actual game being dark is quite impressive. For more on the story, play the game!

The game didn't get first in EGD, nor did it get in the EGL which I find really stupid.
