Blockcraft is a game created by spellmage

So, this is my 25th Review (Hosts Massive Party) Anyway, I would like to start off by Apologising to Captainalex for my Decision to Temporarily leave .:|WD|:. and co-form Aero Reviewz (UR) with Babybuster4ever, we did it because you guys were too inactive and you didn't add 3 of our Reviews, making everbody think that [MR] had beaten us and because of it, they're Thread got fused. Anyway, today I will Review Blockcraft by Spellmage

Pre-Thoughts

I've heard of Spellmage before, but never tried his Games. I've always thought of Spellmage as an Epic Game maker though. Judging by the Title it sounds a little like "Minecraft" Which is alright, but personally I prefer 2D Version Terraria. Anyway, expectations. Pretty high

Thumbnail

Alright it's a little Bland, well actually. Looks very Bland. And Terribly Pointless, I don't see the Point. Really, Spellmage could've put in alot more Effort into the Thumbnail then this. Maybe the Backround could be altered, and there could be more to it then all the basic Stuff that there is :( Anyway, time to start the Real Review

Story

Oh, if you were wondering. No, there isn't a Story, but then. The Game doesn't really need one though, but would've been better with one. But on the Positive Side, you can Create things yourself, meaning you can create your Own Adventure with your own Story (Bit like Sploder Really)

Gameplay

The idea is pretty clever. And while there isn't much to the Game, it's actually Rather Addictive. There is no Aim, you just Pointlessly play around with the Equipment you are given. Alright, it gets Boring after a while and I can't Review for Time and Difficulty but it's not at all that bad (As explained earlier) There is also little Lag and the Game is highly Creative. Overall, Gameplay was alright but could've been improved slightly

Scenery

Ooh this is when the Review turns nasty, just joking. But really, Scenery was as I said in the "Thumbnail" Paragraph. Highly Disappointing, the Backround (I'm not talking about the Intro as it's an Intro) is Dull and the Small Map with little Variety (But can still provide Fun) doesn't improve Scenery much either. Spell, you know. A dull Backround is one of the Things that ruined the Game for me. Sorry :(

Puzzles & Traps

With a Bigger Map you could make some Puzzles and Traps, but with the small Space for Building and the Ability to Leave the Map you can't make anything exciting enough for Puzzles And Traps. So sorry Spell, but it's another Negative Paragraph :( Don't worry, the next one will be Positive

Placement

Placement, it's up to you to decide. It's up to you to Create, the Placement is your Choice. And that's really what I love about it. But with a Bigger Map, you can make your Placement even better! That's my only Criticism for Placement, a Bigger Map so Players can make even better Creations and better Placement. Anyway, onto the Ratings

Pros

Creative, Allows Players to be Creative, Addictive

Cons

Gets Boring after a bit, Little Space, Poor Scenery

Ratings

Action: N/A

Addictiveness: 7/10

Awesomeness (Gameplay): 6/10

Difficulty: N/A

Lag: 10/10

Scenery: 1/10

Placement: 8/10

Puzzles And Traps: 4/10

Story: 5/10

Time: N/A

Overall: 7/10

The Game is good, the Pro's overpower the Cons. It definately has a slight Connection to Minecraft (And Terraria) But, with a Bigger Map the Game could be alot better. Also, a bit more Stuff to play around with and a better Backround would take away the Boredom and give this Game a much Higher Rating. I hope you read this Review and have a Read through my Comments

Other

Sorry if this Review was a little Short or Rubbish, I haven't Reviewed in a Couple of Weeks. Anyway, thanks for Reading
