THOUGHTS

Haydair' people from the universal species, this is Magma here with a review of Snake by Turtlee. I decided to review this game because of its tremoundous thumbnail and a creator I NEVER heard of. That's right NEVER. And knowing he has only had 3 features and absolutely no contest winners surprised me. But knowing me and how I'd do ANYTHING for a good game, I checked it when I was scrolling through the featured games list. You will see pros and cons and mixed actions/feelings while playing this game is all I will tell you. So, is this game worth seeing, is it feature worthy, will it become legendary? We'll see. Now let's go on shall we?

REVIEW

"Will this be a good game or not?" I thought as I eagerly clicked the title of the game. It's interesting for sure. I'll first start off with the puzzles. The puzzles in this game were very well executed. He placed the puzzles properly and carefully from the beginning, climax, and the ending, which is what I thought was special about this game. But of course there are cons in every game, and sadly, there were cons in the puzzles category. I thought that there was a lack of difficulty in the puzzles. They were all Sally Simple, which can be good as well as not. In this case it was not. I hate to be a hater, but there was about three traps that were difficult and entertaining. (The cbleep part where you had to walk on was pretty cool IMO.) Still, the puzzles were repetitive. There was no pizzaz or wow which you want to see out of a game. The last thing I'll say about this is the lack of creativeness. I saw no new puzzles that were in this game, I saw ALL these puzzles in the early games. Lets move on to our next category.

I'll now be ranting about the storyline. This is one of the most BLANDEST games I have EVER played in my year here. This contained absolutely NO storyline. It seemed to me like Turtlee didn't even try the tiniest bit to make one. He could have even saved that by putting in a little roleplay here and there but there was NOTHING. I don't have much more to say about this then it's supreme lack of a storyline. Let's move on already.

One of the things I loved about this game was its traps. The traps in this game saved the whole rating from collapsing. Turtlee was ingenious when it came to traps in this game, which is definitely why it was featured in the first place. The traps featured in the game were phenomenal. There wasn't only good ideas in the traps but there were plenty of traps to start with. It was an endless vortex of cool, awesome traps. I will also mention the enemies here. The enemies in this game were averagely placed. There was some here and some there. But the thing that was important, is that when it really mattered, the enemies were placed in great positions. Let's move on now to the next category!

What I noticed while playing this game is that there was many action sequences. I feel like this was an important part of the game. This is what I like, you encased in a good amount of new, cool puzzles and action parts such as boss battles. Speaking of boss battles there were no boss battles in the game which I hoped it didn't have in the first place. He also used glitches which was something that people want to play in. He also made a cool palace to begin with, it was well structured and well made. I didn't expect much from this creator, but now I will make sure I do. I will try to change my game types. Speaking of changing game types, it's time to change categories.

The flow of the game was flawless. It has easy parts at the beginning to pull the player in, then use a different variety of enemies, puzzles, and believe it or not glitches, to make the player use the best of he/she's ability, which i would die to have in one of my games some day. Overall, this was a well established game made by a great creator, Turtlee. The final thing I have to say about this game is that it had downsides, when definitely having upsides along with it. Lets start our wrongs and rights of this game. (Or pros and cons, same diff.)

PROS AND CONS

Pros:

Traps: Turtlee featured a huge, non-repetitive amoun of well organized traps.

Glitches: He used a few glitches he and there which helped make the game increasingly fascinating.

Placement: Turtlee placed all the elements of a game where they ought to be. I applaud him of that.

Cons:

Storyline: There was no storyline in the game whatsoever. Didn't even make an attempt to use a little roleplay to helped make it on track.

Repetitiveness: In some of the elements of this game, he kinda of used the same idea over and over again.

IS THIS GAME FEATURE WORTHY??

I would have to say yes. The editor that featured this obviously had a good understanding of the different elements in the game and how they were used in a unique way which i forgot to mention in my review.

SCORES:

Storyline: 0/10

Enemies: 8/10

Glitches: 9.8/10

Flow: 10/10

Placement: 10/10

Repetitiveness: 7.4/10 (Ten being the most repetitive.)

Overall: 8.9/10 A well made game with upsides and downside.

This is the end of my review. I would like to say thank-you for reading this if you are, I really appreciate this. And sorry it was a little short, I tried my best to make it as long as it deserved to be. Bye guys and smellya later!
