Appaloosa is a game created by guess

Hi! I really think I need to stop saying “hi” so much, it’s starting to get old. Anyway, I was searching through some featured games, and found Appaloosa by guess. Sure, it didn’t look as interesting as Psychotic Pong 2, but it still looked like it was going to be a good game to me. So I clicked on it. But was I having the time of my life? Or was I simply playing just another average game? Let’s find out…

Pre Thoughts:

All games I’ve played by guess have really mesmerized me, and have left me stunned after I’ve played them. I found this game on the featured section, so hopefully editors have made a correct decision to feature yet another game by guess. So I’m expecting Appaloosa to deliver some great action, puzzles, and difficulty.

Thumbnail:

This looks quite promising. I can see three Bug Meisters that will be shooting away at me when I start this game. I’m predicting that this will have some pretty intense action as you progress through the game, as I can simply tell by the thumbnail. I also think that this will be more of an open spaced battle, as it looks like it after the Bug Meisters. And as for those of you who are too lazy to look at the background, the background colour is white.

Gameplay/ Review:

Well, I have to say, what an impressive shooter! Whoever featured this made a correct decision. This could be one of the greatest, if not the best, shooter I’ve ever played. I could tell that a lot of thought and effort went into the game, as the game expressed it at almost every corner. I didn’t find this game repetitive at all, at every corner there was something new that guess introduced, and nothing that I could’ve predicted.

White smoke has appeared when the white smoke has vanish the enemies has appeared you must stop them. They have steal the crystals you must get the crystals were they belong.

I really did not like this storyline. It’s not a storyline that gets you hooked, but I don’t think the storyline really matters. The game itself is fine without a storyline, but still, a better storyline would’ve been much better to see from guess. Also, incorrect punctuation, I don’t think your english teacher would be impressed by this either. But lets not go on about the punctuation.

Enemies were placed in excellent spots. There were very few minor flaws, like the mortars at the start could be dodged easily. The Mogura’s added some great challenge to the game, as you had to run away from them n some narrow hallways. At the start, guess placed some enemies in some fantastic positions, like the Bug Meisters. They seemed to shoot me, and I would lose a lot of my health. I really didn’t see much badly placed enemies, so good job guess!

Appaloosa really did have greatly placed power-ups. I finished the game with about a tiny bit of health left. Two shots from a pellet, and I would’ve died. To help me, guess placed some missiles, and I used them throughout the whole of the game. Without those missiles, I would have failed. I can’t really criticize anything bad about power-ups, so I can tell guess really did test this a lot, to ensure that it’s extremely hard, yet possible enough to beat.

As I moved along the game, I did notice a bit of basic scenery around. It was good enough to keep me entertained, but still, it’s really not the best thing about Appaloosa. It’s nothing compared to the fantastic action, or power-up placement. But the scenery guess used were nice to see.

There has been some fantastic things about Appaloosa, and there have been some pretty average things about it. Puzzles, that was one thing that I didn’t see much in this. But, I have to give credit to guess for providing me with some confusing things about this. I had some issues trying to find one of the three crystals. So I kind of have to count that as a puzzle. Other than that, there weren’t any more puzzles. Traps? Well, where you have to collect the supplies, the door could shut on you, but that would be highly unlikely. Also, there was one part where guess placed a yellow Spider Key near a yellow door, when you had already fought a yellow Spider Key. I fell for that. :D. Anyway, that was basically it. So, I guess that puzzles and traps were OK in some areas.

Well, lets face it. This game had creativity. I’ve never seen such a unique game, it’s great. Guess also spiced it up a bit with some of that art (Seen earlier in the review) as mud polies. I know that it might not be the most creative thing, but guess placed the mud polies perfectly. Guess provided me with some things that I’ve never seen before, just at the very beginning (Play the game to see) which is great to see that someone has found something new in the shooter.

Pros:

Placement: Everything about placement was near perfect. I am just simply going to stop here for placement, that sentence says everything.

Creativity: Something new that I’ve never seen before was introduced to this excellent shooter. It was at the start, with the three Bug Meisters shooting at you. I won’t give the puzzle away, that would just ruin the game, wouldn’t it?

Scenery: This is definitely something that the game had. Guess did it quite nicely, too. I always like to see that scenery, it makes the game look more interesting, making the player want to move on and continue playing the game.

Cons:

Story: Appaloosa really didn’t have that gripping story to convince the player that this is going to be a great game for him (or her) to experience. Yet all the other things made up for it.

Ratings:

Action: 4.8/5. The game really did have action that was lurking around that corner. And as soon as it pounced, the game became a lot more interesting and much more fun to play.

Difficulty: 4.9/5. Appaloosa was very difficult. 20 views of the game are probably mine, that’s how difficult it was. It also proves how addictive it is. Yes, so once again, great job guess.

Creativity: 4.5/5. The game introduced something I’ve never seen before, and the fact that guess created that was great to see. So, he/she was pretty creative with this game.

Placement: 4.9/5. Placement was near perfect. I finished with very little health left, so obviously there was something good (more like excellently fantastic) about placement. This also includes enemy placement, which was near perfect.

Puzzles and traps: 3/5. This wasn't the best thing about the game, but some of the traps were pretty good.

Overall: 4.7/5

Conclusion:

Yet another game by guess that is truly amazing. But there is one thing I’m cross at, the views. It hasn’t even got 500 views! >:(. Naughty people. (Anyway, I’m sure this game will get more attention now.) I’m pretty sure that it’s safe to say that guess made quite a game that kept me guessing what would happen around that corner. But I was so glad I clicked on Appaloosa, I might not have ever played this wonderful game. That is a scary thought.

Feature worthy? Is this category even needed? Well for some people it is. Anyway, yes, the game is feature worthy. I’m pretty sure that everyone realizes that this game does deserve its feature. I might not play a game that is quite impressive as this.
