Move Forward To Win is a game created by lordeldar

More EGD reviewing, and today I am going to bash- err, I mean review, Move Forward To Win by lordeldar. This game placed 3rd in the algorithm category (ahead of A Fun Game, which had a better storyline and was just funner) which was ABSOLUTELY BIASED. Moving on to the review.

I'm not even going to discuss the name of this game. It was a joke, even lordeldar said it himself.

Gameplay:

The goal of the game is to move forward to win, but wait, THERE'S A TWIST. There's a wall blocking your way.

bleep.

Along the way to discover the switch to dramatically turn off this wall that is blocking the exit, you have to fight two idiots along the way, who go by the name of JJS and Ravicale Salt. Then there's this awesome nub called Mat. That is essentially the storyline summed up for you.

The game was enjoyable. Apart from the hideous traps and rather bland scenery, it didn't feel like I was playing this game because I had to, but rather because I want to. The levels were simple and didn't have a stupid sequence only the author could figure out (then again, there aren't many puzzles with this creator that are mind boggling) and I felt like I was getting a fair go, more than the Australian government was giving us.

MOVING ON FROM POLITICAL JOKES, action was the main aspect of the game. There was a little bit of puzzle in some scenes (trying to get a big robot on a conveyor belt so it wouldn't keep restoring health) which was definitely interesting and added a spice to the game that made it even more interesting. The traps were just plain dumb though; avoid most health packs at all costs.

There wasn't that much effort put in the game, and you could see it. Some areas felt bland, others felt rushed, and some felt underwhelming. Specifically the third level or the maze one, it felt empty and I was losing my interest in it.

Boss fights were exhilarating. Mat was mainly about action, JJS was about some puzzles mixed with action, and the final boss, Ravicale Salt...

Was a bot.

A

single

bot.

How underwhelming. ._. I guess this game was a joke though.

Finally, we shall be talking about plot twists.

WARNING. SPOILER ALERT COMING UP. READ ON AT YOUR OWN COSTS. DO NOT COME CRYING TO ME IF I RUINED THIS GAME FOR YOU

AT THE END OF THE GAME YOU MOVE BACKWARDS.

NO.

Rating

Storyline: 5/5

Overall: 3.25/5

It was evident that Move Forward To Win was rushed, but I still had a lot of fun with it. Outside of EGD I would not feature this, but EGD features everything, so yeah.
