Guitar Hero is a game created by omega

If your drummer is too tired for an encore he's too tired for the after party. Alright, they're not heckling you this time! Your mom doesn't count as a fan. AND THIS BIRD YOU CANNOT CHANGE!!!

These are all quotes from Guitar Hero. Welcome to my 4th review. Today I will be reviewing Guitar Hero, by Omega. We all know Omega is a great game maker, especially when it comes to the PPG. The question is if Omega's game can match up with the already featured game, Guitar Freak 2. Will this new game match up to Guitar Freak 2 and take the stage? Read on to find out.

Graphics- As the title of this review suggests, Omega decided to go with a Guitar Hero themed game. This should mean that his game's graphics should match Guitar Hero's pretty closely. And this is exactly what he did to a point.

As the title of this review suggests, Omega used the exact color order as the buttons in the console version of Guitar Hero. If you look at the thumb nail, you will also find that he also used circles as the original uses.

Unlike Guitar Freak 2, the graphics it this game look a lot crisper and cleaner. All the objects in the game are shaped well, and are placed in the correct area. My only real complaint is that the graphics seem a little plain. The pick is gray and the background is black. I would have liked to see some design on the highway and the pick to spice things up.

Gameplay- The goal of this game is to drag your pick along the highway to pick up the falling notes. The gameplay compared to Guitar Freak 2 is much smoother. Instead of using your mouse to drag the pick, you use the arrow keys. Using the keys provides for a more relaxed gameplay, and I enjoy that.

One big improvement is a certain leaving out of something. Those annoying black notes. There was no longer any worrying about this little annoying notes that gave you a penalty. This made the game a lot less aggravating, and I didn't want to chuck my computer at somebody.

There is one problem with the gameplay of this game. The game started off very slow. The first 4 or 5 levels would probably be easy even to a 6 year old. With a nine level game, I think maybe the first two levels should have been used as a sort of tutorial, but then Omega should have moved on to harder levels. The last few levels though were great.

Pros- Crisp and clean Grahics

No annoying black notes

Great last few levels

Cons-Plain Graphics

The game started off very slow

Was the game feature-worthy?

Though I'm not an editor, I'm trying a new format for this section. If I get positive feedback, I think I'll keep it.

Was the game enjoyable?- To a point this game was pretty fun. The beginning was a bit boring and slow, but the last 4 or 5 levels were pretty exciting. It's not the best game on sploder, but it's still fun. 3.5/5

Did the game look nice?- The graphics were executed well. They were crisp and clean but were lacking some design. Looking organized isn't the only important part for graphics. Add some spice to the game next time Omega.

4/5

Was it beatable?- By this I mean, was I able to get at least 75% through the game. The answer is yes. The game was a little easy though.

4.5/5

Was it original?- It wasn't the most original game, but it's still pretty new to sploder.

4.5/5

So was it feature worthy?- I'd say yes. Even though it started off slow, it was still fun. The graphics were plain but done neatly. It wasn't Omega's best game, but it still deserved its feature.

8.5/10
