THE END. is a game created by muzzle123

I will be reviewing THE END. by muzzle123. It has been requested in the BHR alliance reviewing thread but the wrong link for reviews was given. I however took the liberty to play it and find the real link to the public version of THE END. and review it.

Game Play

You start THE END. in a long corridor with a large stash of power ups beneath you. Along with the treasure troll of power ups, you find an owl. He tells you to find the way out. I decided to try and see the right way out by using my mini map but alas, the tunnels go right off of the end of it. Taking a complete shot in the dark, I decided to go the way that my character was facing; right. I melted the ice blocks that were blocking my forward motion and began my journey. Once out of the long passageway, you will notice two random ramp blocks. I am not sure what those have to do with anything but I put it aside and continued with my flamethrower in hand. I soon found myself inside of another passageway, this one being shorter than the first. This passageway was apparently home to some enemies. I defeated them with my flamethrower in a heartbeat. As I continued my strange voyage, I noticed random items, enemies and blocks scattered every which way. Soon, I found myself swimming in a random pool. I honestly don’t know how this game could get any more random. The unpredictability is sometimes quite scary. After more random enemies, I found a lava pool. I know that I had to catch a ride on a slider if I was ever going to make it across. The slider is glitched though. It travels through the entire map and not just over the lava.

Name

I highly dislike THE END.'s game name. The end of what exactly? It sounds like one of the cheap knock off games that so many members of Sploder make. THE END. is boarder lining the average knock off game but I see potential in muzzle123. I just hope that he uses my suggestions in later games.

Scenery

The scenery in this game defiantly isn't something to be writing home about. There is virtually no scenery whatsoever in this game except for some of the floor tiles. Scenery defiantly isn’t THE END.’s strong side. Which is a shame because every good platformer needs some good scenery or else it won’t get played or noticed. My biggest overall recommendation would be to add more scenery to THE END.

Challenge

THE END. is far from challenging but that doesn't mean that it is possible to beat. As mentioned before, the lava slider is dysfunctional and moves all throughout the game. This can be fixed with the addition of one small block. The only moderately challenging spot in this game is in the third passageway. Three thors are left for you to defeat with very little skill using your flamethrower. Give the thors a taste of their own medicine.

Puzzles/Traps

There were no puzzles or traps used in this entire game. I can't believe it! This is one of my biggest suggestions to add. I feel that no platformer is complete without some traps or puzzles. The lava/slider creation might be leaning towards a miniature puzzle but even still, there are no puzzles or traps in this game and it needs some!

Fun

THE END. is a moderately fun game but nothing too amazing. I would say that more scenery can add to the "fun" factor just by adding a sense of appeal. More enemies and challenges should really be added as well.

My Final Burn

Really, this is the only game that I didn't like that I reviewed. I also noticed how much Sploder is piled up with knock off games. This was sadly not one of my favorite games by muzzle123.
