[#1] The Developers Appear To Have Gone Home For Christmas

...

Hello everybody and welcome to my review of the boosted game "Subway Surfers London Christmas," by freak1. This game, obviously, appears to be presented as a Subway Surfers remake, perhaps even as a port to Sploder. As I had enjoyed Subway Surfers immensely when playing it on my iPad, I decided to check out this game.

To put it lightly, I was not presented with Subway Surfers. The game plays horribly, with it's horrible acceleration and no resemblance of the three lane system present in the actual Subway Surfers. However, freak1 appears to have still kept the three lane system in the enemy design and coin collecting. This allows for the character to be placed between lanes, meaning you cannot be touched by the ridiculous looking trains. Also, speaking of the trains, the trains are impossible to avoid. They move down the screen so quickly that unless you have insane reactions beyond that of human skill, you cannot dodge the trains.

Despite the fact you cannot dodge the trains, the game is still incredibly easy. All you have to do is sit in the centre and not move, and you beat the game. The way to fix this, I reckon, would be to reduce the lives to two and slow down the trains. But of course freak1 didn't do this.

Neither did he make the game look like Subway Surfers, or like anything for that matter. He didn't even keep it consistent to the title of the game. There is no consistency with the individual sprites, with the train tracks and the palmtrees looking completely different in quality from the character (who by the way looks completely devoid of any texture) and the trains (which I swear look like trucks). The creator appears to have used public sprites and his own, but without putting much effort into his own ones.

I don't even have to find small flaws in the graphics, because there are so many blatant ones to point out first. It's that bad. Also, the music choice is horrendous and doesn't match the game at all.

Oh, and there's no context behind what you are doing. Why am I trying to dodge trains? At least the actual game presents some form of cute backstory. This doesn't even attempt it! Lazy.

To be honest, there's not much left to talk about now. The game is just so basic, and boring. So you might ask "Why are you doing a review of this?" Good question. The reason I am is because this is literally above better games on the featured list, thanks to Sploder's boost point system. I could of reviewed much better games, sure, but this was on the top of the featured list. It must be important, it must be legendary. It's above the best PPG I've played for years and a decent game by lordeldar. But thing is, it isn't. It, no offence to the creator, is bad.

Anyway, here are the standardized scores for "Subway Surfers London Christmas" by freak1:

Gameplay: 1/10 "dysfunctional"

Presentation: 3/10 "overall just bad"

Story: 0/10 "non-existent"

Overall: 4/30 "v.poor"

Games Leaderboard:

Subway Surfers London Christmas: 4/30

Forenote: I didn't do this to rag on the creator of the game. I did this to merely show what a flawed system boost points are. Oh and the Games Table is going to be a comparison between games, however I've only done one review, so yeah.

Thanks for reading this review.
