Nexus is a curious (not in a bad way, lol) exploring game. The goal is simple: Escape and kill Nexus. The game? Nah, forget it. Nexus respectively is a combination of a "explore the maze" game and a puzzle game. To beat the game, you pretty much have to look around, try not to die, and think of solutions to the puzzles.

The puzzles were pretty basic and straightforward, but there's barely any breathing room in between them, so you die fairly often after the lava puzzles. The puzzles were easily solved if you looked at the environment, and a few times, you can use a glitch to "cheat." (Example: Pause grenade glitch, :3) I liked the puzzles, because some were new and meshed together old puzzles with new placements and spacing, but the difficulty of solving them could be improved.

The scenery was good and was effectively revealed by using the Powergluv, which isn't actually a new concept (still looks cool though). The scenery sometimes fooled my eyes and I tried to jump on a non-existing block, but if you got stuck or didn't know what was next, the radar was an adequate tool that could be used to help find your way through the levels.

The placement was very good and complimented the puzzles. Sometimes, there would be a noticeable error, like the part where you drop a mutant on to your player's head. The mutant would harmlessly bounce off your head and fall into the lava puzzle you just beat to your right. Everything else was pretty good though, and I liked the way Geometric incorporated a lot of crate puzzles. Crates are one of the trickiest objects in the platformer creator, and good crate puzzles usually require good thinking and error-less spacing.

I personally think Nexus was a good game. This game was Geometric's first feature, and it is a well deserved feature. The game comes with the few errors that most games have, but overall Geometric was very well made and a worthy feature.

Pros

-Scenery

-Puzzles

Cons

-Some placement errors

-Puzzle difficulty
