Whtever's 6th Review

Pre-thoughts

I found this game when I was looking through the game admin looking for a diamond in the rough, because frankly, I'm bored of playing forum member's games, because they've had a falling out.

I saw the thumbnail of this game and I knew it was going to be epic, let's hope all those objects didn't go to waste.

Review

After playing this game for a few times, I hurried to the review section to be the first to review it. This review may sound a little exited, and by God it is. This game is truly a diamond in the rough, a man among boys of the games out there right now. I feel privileged to be the one bearing the news of this finding of this game, else who knows what would been of it had it stayed in obscurity. (I found it about 9,000 games in the admin section, yes, it's that boring in POW)

The gameplay is so diverse it almost mind-blowing. While there is no core objective in this game, which normally would be a bad thing, the amount of, and the precision and fun of all the mini-puzzles makes up for that and then some. You don't have to play this game one way; I started this game going all sorts of different paths and doing all sorts of different things. Maybe one round I'll go for the extra life while dodging the spikes, or maybe go for the first 10 crystals (there are FORTY, each as challenging but fun to obtain as the next. And the time it takes to get each crystal; none of them are gimmes; it took me 11 minutes to get 11 crystals, and so far that's the farthest I've gotten in this game. It merits a very high score, and I've only scratched the surface.

Overall, the enemy/hazard placement was perfect, simple as that. No enemies out of the well over 60 were out of place or looked like they were just stuck there. That's all I can say about that.

And while this game is not big on scenery (though again, none of the default tiles look like they were just placed randomly) every tile perfectly placed to be used to its maximum potential.

Okay, I will grant that this game has nothing new in terms of gameplay, or action, or puzzles, the way these almost cliche puzzles and old action sequences were placed is just brilliant. The complexity of the map itself makes up for the fact that there was noting overly creative and the fact that the objects themselves weren't used in new ways. But, I'll reiterate that the way the objects WERE used, was so effective that the game still has brilliance due to that.

And finally, I just want to comment on the fact that this game is by no means too hard, yet still challenging and so much fun. I don't want this review to give away too much about this game, so I'll stop at that. The game is pretty straightforward...well, once you stop being dumbfounded by the complexity in the beginning and throughout.

Conclusion

This is one of the most perfect, addicting, challenging, intricate, and just all out fun platforming games I've ever had the honor of enjoying.

Also, as an after-thought, it does have a tiny bit of lag, but the fun of this game overcomes it like a boss.

Overall rating: 9.75/10

I would give it a 10/10, but I know I'll take heat for not giving precedence to the lack of new ideas.
