What is up Sploder, Master106. Let's get right into the review! Today I am reviewing Swedenplatformges game Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. Which I think the game is based off of the Sega game of the same name. I have played Sonic games in the past like Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Colors. But I have not played Segas Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric before. So I don't know if Swedenplatformge directly based it off of the game or just based a few things off of it. Either way, Swedenplatformge made the story of his game pretty straight forward and understandable. That is good for me.

The first thing you might notice is the scenery of the game. It is very nice and detailed and it blends well into the game. The details are very pleasing to the eye. Swedenplatformge did a pretty good job on the scenery for the most part. When entering a new level, the scenery would excite you every time. The scenery does get stale here and there, but for the most part the scenery works reasonably well.

On that good note, the gameplay is mostly platform focused. It has actually pretty fun platforming to be honest. Most of the platforming is fairly balanced and really great. The platforming is the best part of this game. Swedenplatformge should continue to create games that are platforming focused like this because of how fun it can be. There are points here and there where the platforms are off a little. For the most part the platforms work great though. The enemies and hazards need some work however. The game is not too hard, but the enemies and hazards are kind of inconsistent in the game. Sometimes they are scarce and sometimes they just bombard you out of nowhere. Though Im not too perturbed at this fact.

Each level has something to add to it. For the most part it is sort of good. The game utilizes switches and bouncers for the most part. Which they do play a role in the platforming quite a bit. It also utilizes the grapple for some parts and the power glove for wheels to like hit a switch or something at some points. All these are somewhat good in the game, though for the most part do not last. Though most of the game you are going through multiple paths looking for switches and getting to the end. The game is rather straightforward.

This game is great to play on your free time. It is a simple game to play. It sure doesn't top the more advanced games. Though the game is great to play if you have spare time.

On to the scores and closing thoughts:

Scoring Of Game:

Game-Play - 8/10

Art and Scenery - 8/10

Playability - 7/10

Difficulty- 75/100

Challenges and Puzzles - 7/10

Score Overall - 7/10

The game succeeds for me but, it is pretty average. It is pretty fun though so, good job Swedenplatformge! Well that's just a review, a Sploder review! Thanks for reading! My names Master106 and bye.
